Which is the better replacement for Field Scout? Casket Mag or Appended Mag?
Field Scout is easily my favorite perk in the game; I've always looked for shotguns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, and machine guns with this perk... not only for the largest possible magazine, for the highest possible amount of reserve ammo, which is very handy in PvE.
But Bungie removed Field Scout from weapon rolls for all House of Wolves weapons (anything with the "Reforge Ready" perk), and replaced it with two new perks; Casket Mag, and Appended Mag.
I want to know; which of these is closer to Field Scout? Again, I need to get the highest possible reserve ammo, not just a larger magazine. If you can give me explicit details on what these perks do for different weapon types (shotguns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, machine guns) I'd appreciate it.

2 RepliesSame findings as cptMustasche, 2 spare change .25's one with appended mag, one with casket mag. Total ammo didn't change, only mag size, 24-30 with both. Reserve ammo "shrinks" but total ammo is the same. Personally I'll go with appended mag to keep the stability casket looses, if I can't get extended mag that is. Armor for reserve ammo it is then :/
