If your running Focused Fire or whatever the perk is called, the one that reduces RoF but increases damage prepare to be laughed at and slaughtered every time you come across someone as the gun with that perk will likely only head shot for about 24 damage, which is less damage than an at launch Shingen-C without focused fire and that thing shot a hell of a lot faster to boot. TTK on just about every variation of Auto Rifle since launch has been reduced by up to and over 40% making them some of the slowest killing weapons in the game. The only way I see Auto Rifles becoming even remotely useful is if they all received a perk unique to that class of weapons that Increased Precision Damage after consecutive Precision hits, could just name it something like Double Tap. Example at least in PvP.... Something like Shadow Price which only does what like 22 damage a head shot follow up shots would go as followed as your laying into someone. HS1: 22 HS2: 25 HS3: 28 HS4: 31 HS5:34 At which the damage would cap out, as to not make it too powerful and then when that target dies the damage buff stayed active for a good 3-5 seconds allowing you to immediately begin doing that 34 damage to a secondary target.

  • Your post is full of points and stats but its all wrong. What comes to mind are the players wielding these weapons. A player that knows their weapon can use that weapon without fault. I used my suros in 5 separate games throughout the night during iron banner. It wasnt ascended at that time and each of those games I only died to supers a few sticky grenades and some shot guns. I then used my pest control with focus fire and glass half full. Same result. I then switched it up and used my shadow price which has recover hammer and persistence and guess what.. Same results. Eventually I wanted to spend up the process and used thorn but I enjoyed the games I played with these rifles. Stats don't always matter sir. Skill prevails over all.

  • If your in your comfort zone and can still dominate with inferior weapons by all means, I'm just showing examples of how they can actually make Auto Rifles competitive. Honestly I would equate your success to having terrible players on the opposing team as just about every other weapon class out DPS's Auto Rifles at all ranges, any equally skilled player running into to you with a Hand Cannon/Scout/Pulse Rifle is likely to win the fire fight 10/10 simply because there gun far out preforms your own and that is fact.

  • The problem is that what you just said, skill prevails over all, isn't true for hand cannons. They just don't take skill. And also, since handcannons are so widespread, people who aren't as good as us ( I can take my Suros out for a spin and out perform other weapons too) are just at a complete and utter disadvantage.

  • Hand cannons take less skill for the simple fact they can two to three shot people. But you might as well say guns don't take skill. I've yet to find a weapon I cannot use now is that a skill thing or a game mechanic? I don't know buts its part of the game. What sucks is that people can't enjoy it and resort to crying about it on forums instead of dealing with it and getting better at the game

  • That's a skill thing. Specifically, your skill. And also by no skill, I meant very little. Very, very little.
