No, not true. Most of the drops are worse than what I already have (including legendary items or items you buy from various armorers), or I've wound up with double drops on cool items and I'd like to share.
Frankly-- it's a social game. A social aspect is being able to share. I'd like to be able to send friends, weapons if they want, armor if they want, glimmer if they want to help them out-- that's how social networks work. If Bungie wants to 'build a world' which is what this game was originally advertised as-- they need to support that world in ways other than just quake-style shoot-em-up-bang-bang crucible.
No you are dead wrong. So you can trade ppl raid/arena weapons without doing the specific task to acquire them? Think about that for a second. I haven't look at your characters in detail but you have 2 of the same and they aren't even leveled up. The drop rates for weapons are MUCH higher than they were and it's not even close. You pretty much get a weapon every time you complete an objective now. All you need to do is put in time and you will be rewarded.
The only two duplicates I have are Radegast's Rocket Launcher-- one is leveled up, the other is not. Each one has different abilities. I haven't leveled the second one up because I'm not sure I want to reroll it, and I don't want to be hasty and toss it. I got those in Iron Banner.
I understand your point about not wanting people to get things they haven't earned, but one must also remember that noob's can't have legendary weapons-- only level20 and up can even used them; same with armor. Technically speaking, you've played the game at level 20, everything else is gravy. Having a special weapon won't save you in crucible and so forth against a better player-- so, in the end, it kind sorts itself out.
I still think people should be able to share. Or, if we can't share, then we should get a *lot* more glmmer out of a weapon when we destroy it, or give us a way to sell it to the gunsmith for something else. Ammo maybe.
