Spartans can dent steel (or covenant metal) or even punch through it. Proof from Sarah Palmer in halo 4 where she dents the command table when angry ins cutscenes. Proof from every other spartan who boards a wraith and punches the sh*t out of it. Can a guardian do that? Can a titan do that? Not to an interceptor, which is not even a tank. They can barely break their own sparrows. Spartans hit harder by a ton. (Almost literally)
AI vs ghost.
Ghosts open doors and can revive, but they must reveal themselves to do so. Can be destroyed as proof of Petra Venj grimroire where she orders a air strike that kills 3 teams of guardians AND their ghosts. Also reference the dead guy at the moon mission where the ghost says "we've woken the hive".
AI open doors, can attack, can predict battle outcomes, can hack covalent and promethean technology, can attack in their own way (hacking weapons or what not), can defend (proof at the end of halo 4 where cortana protects master chief.
AI wins.
Armor lock beats anything.
Void bomb is basically a wraith shot.
Golden gun is basically a super spartan laser
Fist of havoc is basically gravity hammer.
Ward of dawn is basically drop shield (which actually can regen health, besides if a spartan went into a saint-14 bubble, the ai would direct the spartan what to do.)
Sunslinger is basically more grenades and back from the dead. That means more fun for Spartans.
Arc blade is basically plasma sword (which blocks bullets by the way. For this of you who think that arc blade is more agile, Spartans can run at 60 mph with their armor on. Their reflexes allow then to dodge rockets. Ie: gjallarhorn. Spartans win the agility contest)
Armor lock beats all of that stuff. It survives an atmospherical drop (halo 3) which if bungie died their science, would have created a big @ss crater since Spartans weigh so much. They have more mass which means they accelerate to greater speeds when falling and would probably create a bigger crater than a bombing run if they dropped from orbit.

I would type a big response to why you're wrong but I doubt I'll get a response, I'll just save myself some time.

Don't forget the lore about the Gen 2 Powered assault armor

Edited by EXPRESS_Tsunami: 8/5/2015 11:38:54 PMTake in mind that the Titan's design in Destiny is based off Master Chief. So while you basically have Spartan 2.0s fighting original Spartans, you also have a space wizard and an assassin to deal with. Also, all classes have specialty melees which make the Spartan's punch look like a child's. Another ability which gives guardians an edge against Spartans is their ability to be revived. If you kill a Spartan, they're dead. If you kill a guardian, they respawn in 4 seconds. I am going to assume the combatants aren't fighting in a darkness zone, and the Spartans do not know how ghosts operate. My final argument is Supers. While Spartans do in fact have armor upgrades, guardians have abilities that outclass these. All these abilities are capable of killing Titans, (Spartan 2.0s) and while Spartans can use drop shields to block supers, golden gun can rip through a ward of dawn, which can tank much more damage than a Spartan's drop shield, or even armor lock. In conclusion, Spartans are very formidable combatants, But are simply outclassed by a guardian's abilities.

1. I am confused on how a titan is based off the Master Chief. Also, based off of does not mean equal in power. typically it means a lighter or lessened version. 2. touche on the melee ablilities, but a spartan can punch through covanent metal. a titan can barely break his own sparrow. 3. tell the dead guardian thing to the guy in front of Crota's temple. 4. the ghost thing means nothing because in the grimiore, petra kills 3 teams of guardians and their ghosts with an airstrike. 5. armor lock does not break. Ward of dawn does. Armor lock has never been broken in the history the halo games. nice argument though. well thought out but i think you are undervaluing spartans a bit.

I killed Taniks with a flying knee as titan on this weeks night fall let's see a spartan do that bitch

They can fall from orbit
-
Ooooh you lowered his health and then shoulder charged him. So powerful. I spartan could sit on a guardian and crush them

I posted this last month stalker much

Not disagreeing with anything but your science concerning master chief falling from orbit. When you say Spartans would fall faster than whatever, that's not true. Everything in Earth's gravity falls at the same rate, accelerating down at 9.8 meters per second per second. 2nd, while you definitely have a point about the fact there should have been a crater, it LOOKED to me like chief did not fall in a normal ballistic arc, he instead fell in what looked like an inverted square root curve, leading him to land at an angle approaching perpendicular to the ground, which is why he killed a ton of trees and made a rut, not a crater. Lastly, it's only assumed chief fell from "orbit" as chief was never in an orbit around earth before he fell, he may have been above the atmosphere before jumping from the ship, but at the ship could be seen to be experiencing atmospheric friction (glowing) before chief jumped, it seems as he was simply very very very high in the atmosphere, not in space, when he jumped.

You basically focused on the bad things for gaurdians

Pro. Get em. Lol

You took this way to seriously

Not all Spartans have ai. Not all Spartans are master Cheif. Most of the Spartans were wiped out by the covenant. Emile was literally stabbed in the back. H The guy that never takes off his helmet, hud always up, radar right there got stabbed in the back.

You do know that he had to die for the story to make sense right? THE FALL OF REACH happened because EVERYONE DIED OR LEFT. It set up the whole halo series.

Edited by Grim6I9: 8/5/2015 11:26:14 PMYeah fully aware. I read all the books. And unfortunately the set up in OPs question is random 3 on 3. Neither side knows the abilities of the other. But considering the number of Spartans that died to less superior tech against enemies with lesser abilities is more than enough to show that killing guardians wouldn't be a cake walk. The guy who's post I responded to off of OP is just being overly biased and ignoring deaths. I could care less for the set up of how who got where, that doesn't change the various overly simple ways Spartans have been killed in action. He acts like every spartan has all the gear available to him at all times just because, when anyone who's read the books and or played the games knows that's definetly not the case. In most of the books they always seemed under prepared for some reason honestly and whenever a scan took place they usually had taken massive damage and their armor is what was holding them together. I'm not saying guardians are better prepared physically but as for basic abilities stacked with weapons and armor perks the guardians come out on top. Sure there will be casualties on both sides but I see the guardians winning. Edit - and almost every stat in this guys post is referring to master chief. He's the ONLY ONE that could run that fast Kelly was second at like 45ish and the rest are down from there by a good 5-10. And basics of well he'd just blow them off cause he's master cheif. There's no real substance to his post. "The ai would direct him what to do in a bubble" are you kidding me? What tech was scanned to determine this? What forward info was provided to determine the ability or source there of? Cause nothing is thrown at the ground to produce a titan bubble. I hate people that just assume everything can scan everything. That's about as much bs as Ironman in the avengers cartoon -"oh this ship is from the year 9832, its console is nothing but holograms and strange moving characters. Good thing I have this USB adapter so I can scan it. Oh hey it translates to English so easily too." Be real here. I know its scripted to favor the good guys but holy hell if you want to have a real debate don't rely on the "well it always works out here" tactic.

Yet the fashion of death can be duplicated by any competent space aged enemy with a knife... I loved reach but damn these guys are oblivious to alot of basic things lol
