so this original thread was made months ago around the exact day the price tag dropped a lot has changed since then, but some of my views remain the same i have already pre-ordered this game, and truth be told, i had already pre-ordered it around the time this post was made ... just because bungie has us in the palm of their hands doesn't mean we need to jump when told to we have every right to display our opinions peace

  • $40 is a lot if the DLC is the same amount of content as the last two. if it's a larger expansion that $40 could be a fair price. I remember that the original plan was for the Comet expansions to be large and to fill the slot of a yearly game release for the series. So instead of doing a new Destiny game every year (like CoD, for example), they'd do one every other year with a Comet expansion in between each one. That's how it was originally described, with the Comet expansions being packed full of new content. Comet Expansions were described as much larger than the smaller expansions which would be released twice a year. Who knows what it will actually be. But it could be worth $40. It could be crap. We'll have to wait and see. Declaring that you won't pay $40 now , months before release when we know nothing about the content at all seems really premature.
