so this original thread was made months ago around the exact day the price tag dropped
a lot has changed since then, but some of my views remain the same
i have already pre-ordered this game, and truth be told, i had already pre-ordered it around the time this post was made
...
just because bungie has us in the palm of their hands doesn't mean we need to jump when told to
we have every right to display our opinions

2 RepliesEdited by Gillbates55 : 6/10/2015 9:33:36 AMNo matter it will be some of the best value for money. Like, look at hookers - $150+ for 30mins.

7 RepliesHow poor is everyone that $40 is a deal breaker? Don't order take out two times. Paid. Don't eat at McD's a few times (your waistline will thank you) Paid. Don't buy a few comic books. Paid. Save your allowance (if your still living with the rents) Paid. Today... $40 is just... a few days at work or a week not spending.
-
If the Taken King comes with everything that has been leaked 12 story missions, four strikes, one raid, six Crucible maps, and one new location. Then I'll be fine with paying $40. Anything less than that have to wait and see how good the content is
-
You've got 3 months, it's not gunna be hard to save 40 in 3 months
-
Don't understand how you say look at the poll, yet say the majority thinks its overpriced...when the poll shows the majority would buy it at $40. That being said, its supposed to be double or triple the size of the previous two dlc...so $40 is just fine.
-
you dont know what will exactly be in the expansion so there is no point in making a post if it will be worth it. at least wait till e3 so we will know more about it also it is said that it will be a huge expansion, just as big or close to the size of destiny 1...if thats true it will be more then tdb and how combined and therefor worth the 40$...lets just wait and see, its gonna be good!!

3 RepliesHow can anyone be mad at the price of something when they don't know exactly what the product is? That's like saying $40 IS TOO MICH FOR A MEAL!!!!!! Because it all depends on the quality/quantity of the meal.
-
Seeing as it will mark the beginning of year 2, I suspect a larger expansion. But my opinion is null until bungie "tweets the deets".
-
71% says they'd pay 40 bucks for the dlc at the time of my post. You need to wait a little longer and let more people vote before jumping to conclusions.
-
Well, now you look like an idiot.
-
71% of people say that they dont care about the price. Please tell me how in the -blam!- the " vast majority" say that Bungie lost them with the new DLC?
-
I reserve judgment untill Bungie tells us what we are buying. We do not have all the information yet.
-
40$ are not appropriated. Maybe I will buy it if they give us some Games with Gold 50% discount.
-
FOR ALL THE FANBOYS OUT THERE, THE POLL SPEAKS FOR ITSELF o rly? I see 70% of the people would buy it :)
-
Just thing in England i get tax so its 40 pound here where paying more!
-
Here is how I see it: TDB: I really paid for the raid, the ability to access the nightfall on rare occasions, and buy new stuff from Xur. (pretty crappy DLC) HoW: I paid for 3 weekly prisons, the ToO, the one rare nightfall strike, and new stuff from Xur. (ok, better. Not great but I finally have more to do) I am mostly just paying for the end game content. If this new DLC only sells me a raid and 3 strikes that may become nightfalls then I'm out.
-
40$ for something you will enjoy for over 2 weeks is worth it. And i know i will play it for longer then that so i dont understand why people complain. Go out and drink one friday and you will come home and have spent more cash that night only.
-
If you can afford the console then you can afford the game.
-
5 RepliesIt should be at least $50 given the amount of content.
-
2 RepliesI pay what ever it is in £
-
There's only 2 choices you either pay the 40 or you dont get the dlc lol not your going to pay 20 for something that cost 40
-
10 RepliesI'm not gonna waste 40 dollars if Bungie doesn't add a load of story content. I'm a halo fan and thus a fan of a good story and not a COD fan who gets excited only because a few weapons are added and some maps. I had hoped that the HoW had some story, but it only appeared to be a typical weapons and PVP map DLC with not a single damn cutscene.
-
I have over 1500 hours in the game, what the f*ck do you think?
-
The poll speaks for itself? 72% say yes, I'm glad we can agree it will be worth it hahahahah

2 RepliesEdited by o0DELTA FORCE0o: 6/10/2015 7:35:31 AMYou people are stupid or ignorant. I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you are just ignorant and did not follow the News about this game. The Taken King has more than the past 2 DLC's combined as far as content goes. This is the comet expansion which is large. The there will be two small expansions after it priced and similar to TDB and HOW that will be under a season 2 pass. At the completion of those Destiny 2 will be ready for deployment.
-
The Taken King is a comet EXPANSION, not just a DLC pack, it's supposedly going to be a whole new addition to the game itself rather than one specific thing. New planets, new armor, new guns, new max level, new sub classes, new strikes, maybe a raid or event, and likely a good bit more. Most of this community will GLADLY spend $40+ a month on goofy ass mobile games like Clash of Clans, so whether your parents buy everything for you or you actually have a job, please stop acting like $40 is a king's ransom.
