so this original thread was made months ago around the exact day the price tag dropped
a lot has changed since then, but some of my views remain the same
i have already pre-ordered this game, and truth be told, i had already pre-ordered it around the time this post was made
...
just because bungie has us in the palm of their hands doesn't mean we need to jump when told to
we have every right to display our opinions

Edited by Trexus: 6/10/2015 11:51:09 AM
it costs more than the first to dlc combined.
Guess what. It has more content than the first to dlc combined.
-
1 ReplyStill not confirmed data and you have no idea how much content it will contain
-
So much for your poll theory
-
4 RepliesListen it's got more stories, 2 raids I think, and new subclasses. If you don't think that's enough, you're insane.
-
Hey looks what's rumored to be in it. TWO raids, a ton more story missions, like 3 or 4 new strikes and who knows what else? Let's be honest here. This is more than the first two DLCs combined.
-
Really, it depends on how much content we get.
-
Only if the content meets the price & with the first 2 dlc having no meat on its bones i don't have high hopes unfortunately. Trust me I hope it's amazing & blows away expectations instead of not meeting them
-
I heard that there might be trading in the new expansion and with all the stuff were meant to be getting ..ill be paying the 40
-
Has there been any real footage or summary of content of this dlc/expansion because I don't have anything to really base my choice off of.
-
...um your poll shows an overwhelming support for the new DLC. It should also be noted that the first two DLCs released were just that, simple DLC. The Taken king is destinys first true "Expansion".
-
24 RepliesWhen I voted, the poll was 71% would pay for it. Why are you saying look at the poll when it clearly goes against your argument
-
Not confirmed to be $40. I'll wait till E3 before I jump the gun.
-
Edited by BrandonRKD: 6/10/2015 11:05:10 AMThe amount of time I've played this game is far more than any others so I think it's money well spent. Ill happily buy every dlc/expansion. I realize most people on here are kids asking their parents to buy it for them, but its really not that much money.
-
You need to update... *whisper*... update
-
Hopefully it'll be $60 with its own $35 season pass
-
5 RepliesYou already have about 11 days of game time. I think you'll get your money's worth.
-
The poll says people think its perfectly fine. It should probably be more since they said it contained 3 times the amount of content than a normal DLC. I'll be happy to hand over a measly $40 for it.
-
Its the same privé as wow expasions nobody bitches about that. I kinda excpected it
-
3 RepliesSparrow Fuel doesn't melt Plasteel Plating
-
The poll says people will buy it. If you tried to prove something, then you failed fantastically.
-
I will spend the money, unwillingly. Like when you call that last dealer in your contacts, the one who always dissapoints in quality and quantity.
-
The poll says 72% will buy it... Like the game? Get the expansion, if not go play something else or go outside, ride a bike or mow some lawns so you don't need to cry about dlc price. If you think you're getting ripped off do us all a favor and don't buy it, cause you're going to be the little bitch in our fire team whining every time you die.
-
Edited by lINighthawkII: 6/10/2015 10:38:53 AMIs the #satire missing? You understand a DLC and an expansion are different right? I'm surprised it's not $60 and I'm hella buying the taken King. If you're crying about a poster that was leaked you can stop playing. Please.
-
Apparently, it's going to be like Destiny 1.5 with a lot of content and may be released on disc. Although, I do agree it's overpriced. A few years ago, I bought Undead Nightmare for RDR and it was £12.00 ($18.60). That was basically a second campaign with all-new weapons, characters, and it added Zombies. So if Rockstar could sell DLC that cheap, then why can't Bungie?
-
Many of you forget, this is scheduled to be essentially the same size as destiny 1 was. It isn't supposed to be tdb sized. I think 40 might be appropriate, but that depends on what we see when it is actually announced.

2 RepliesEdited by Gillbates55 : 6/10/2015 9:33:36 AMNo matter it will be some of the best value for money. Like, look at hookers - $150+ for 30mins.
