so this original thread was made months ago around the exact day the price tag dropped
a lot has changed since then, but some of my views remain the same
i have already pre-ordered this game, and truth be told, i had already pre-ordered it around the time this post was made
...
just because bungie has us in the palm of their hands doesn't mean we need to jump when told to
we have every right to display our opinions

The Taken King is a comet EXPANSION, not just a DLC pack, it's supposedly going to be a whole new addition to the game itself rather than one specific thing. New planets, new armor, new guns, new max level, new sub classes, new strikes, maybe a raid or event, and likely a good bit more. Most of this community will GLADLY spend $40+ a month on goofy ass mobile games like Clash of Clans, so whether your parents buy everything for you or you actually have a job, please stop acting like $40 is a king's ransom.

I'm takin a break for now. I'll probably wait till next Christmas when they upgrade the ps4 hard drive space and come out with a game of the year edition or at least a few more dlcs. Then it will feel like afull game

You know, statistically: hyperbole has a high chance of lowering the effectiveness of your argument.
-
The pole says that most people would buy it so....
-
I'll $60 if the give a shot load of content idgaf kisha
-
3 RepliesIt may actually have a story and lots of content
-
8 Replies
40 bucks for 1 dlc ?? you just lost about 2 million active players bungie ...
your poll says otherwise lmao

4 RepliesGuys we don't even know what is included yet so how can you possibly attempt to ilegitimize the price already?
-
1 ReplyDon't mind paying the 40$, but it's bull shit. Activision -blam!-ed this company so bad. Really wish Joe never left...
-
Edited by Marvelous: 6/10/2015 7:28:56 AMPeople won't pay $40 just because it has the title of expansion, but would buy Destiny 2 if it were a game to come out this year instead of the taken king. It will be a huge expansion.
-
1 ReplyI don't want to pay, but I like this game so I will
-
2 RepliesThe DLC is essentially a whole new game, $40 is cheap.
-
1 ReplyWhere's the "Go -blam!- Yourself Bungie" option?
-
1 ReplyHave you seen the leaks? This DLC will supposedly include more than both the previous DLC combined. I think it'll be worth the $40 dollars.
-
1 Reply£40 for The Taken King!!!?
-
7 RepliesWheres the option for: "I'm not a complete moron so will wait until I actually know something about it before making a decision"
-
2 RepliesYou say this, yet we have not yet seen what this dlc will have to offer, i will make the decision on whether to pay or not after E3
-
1 ReplyNooooooo! God noooo
-
23 Repliesmy point being, honestly the first 2 dlc didn't add "much" content, and virtually NO story, on top of the NOTHING story we already have, i'm probably just venting, but, stop re-shading enemies and giving them more health, if you're going to milk this thing, SUPPLY THE MILK !!
-
1 ReplyHow about we wait and see what the hell it has to offer before asking if we will buy. And yes I will buy it
-
19 RepliesEdited by JamesB2395: 6/10/2015 6:44:07 AMLiterally only $40 why are people making a huge deal about this?
-
4 RepliesI'm glad you used that logic, that two separate DLCs cost $20 each. Now, go and look at what those two DLCs contained and what this new DLC is said to contain. TTK has more content than both TDB and HOW put together. So yeah, $40, for essentially what comes out to be two DLCs worth of content.
-
1 ReplyIts more like an expansion then a DLC. I wasnt super impressed with the first 2 dlcs but Ill still buy the expansion.

just a reminder to also read the replies (hidden?) before posting :)
