It would ruin the entire point of the game. If you had 10 ghorns and 9 friends that play destiny.... You all have a ghorn now.

So what is so bad about your friends all having ghorn?
-
It is not bad for your friends to have a OP gun just like you do, but it would ruin the grind for Ghorn

There is no such thing is "grind" with rng. Perfect example. I was able to convinced my 14 yo cousin to trade his Xbox 360 for a Xbox 1. Drove him to gamestop and covered the reminding cost for the upgrade. Got him setup and transfer his account over to the new console. At the time he has total of 15 hrs of game play. Never did any raids. Because he couldn't find no one on 360 to do it with. Well I put a team together. And we pretty much carried him through vog on normal. Got to gorgon chest. He walks up and opened it. Guess what? Got a ghorn. Kid didn't even know how mighty the ghorn is. Until we told him. So much for grinding...so it's all luck of the draw.
