I feel like they should, but i also feel like they should make drops a lot harder to get, and less RNG.
For example, things like Gjally and Icebreaker or Thorn, should be 10x harder to get, or so only 1% of the populatjon can get them. Same for legendaries, make all legendaries and exotics MUCH harder to get. As it is now, they have people with like 10 ghallys they could just give away. If things were rarer, it would be more valuable in trading.
Xur shouldnt sell exotic weapons if there was a trading system
Upgrading weapons should be MUCH harder, then people would trade things like a fully upgraded exotic for a clean rarer one.
Also make rerolling harder, and on exotics make it so that perks are randomized except for their key perks.
edit: Also, increase the glimmer cap by a LOT, then people could trade glimmer and it wouldnt be useless because of how easy it is to get
Also some sort of chance based upgrading system, to where if you take a 50/50 chance ot may upgrade it more or it make reset the weapon.
Basically make it more mmo-like, because destiny is SUPPOSED to be an mmo. And Mmo's normally have economies.

Stop talking. Now.

To be fair wht he/she is describing is the typical mmo upgrade system lol
-
To be fair, it completely sucks. I spend enough time in destiny as it is. Don't need to make progression harder.
-
It makes sense that if you spend more time on the game, you should get better stuff. It seems like people just dont want other people having better things than them, which doesnt make sense in a pve oriented game.
-
What makes sense is not having to devote you're entire life to a game in order to get a few things. Some of us have lives you know. This isn't WoW.

Edited by xHULKx602: 6/10/2015 8:24:18 PMI play this game on a casual level, maybe playing 2-3 hours or so pve/pvp and still have all 3 toons 32+ with exotics and legendaries. I don't feel like I'm spending my whole life on this game lol its ultimately up to the player on how he/she spends time on the game.
-
You dont need the best gear to play a game. If someone plays more than you, they should have better stuff.
-
By that argument, you should have nothing. You don't seem to be thinking this through. The best gear can only be acquired by those who put time into this game. It just doesn't require the sacrifice of your entire life in order to play the game.

Edited by KanyeSnoopCube: 6/10/2015 9:37:57 PMYoure right i shouldnt. But then id feel like its more of an accomplishment when i get something, instead of "rng gave it to me, and i leveled it up exactly like everyone elses" And no, it doesnt require time, it requires luck. Like you said i havnt put much time in but i have a gjallahorn. There are day one players still without a gjallahorn. And itd be nice if every exotic wasnt the exact same. Yesterday i played a warlock with the exact same equips and weapons as me, it would be nice if there was an upgrade system to change it a bit. EDIT: Also, i finish the nightfall, weekly, hard crota, and hard vog in one day. Theres only so much you can do because of the weekly resets and it would be nice if i could spend time working on those equips that i spent "so long" getting (Which like i said doesnt take long, its all rng and luck)

Edited by redshirt4life: 6/10/2015 11:42:25 PMAcquiring the best gear in the game requires time put aside for endgame activities. Very rarely do exotics drop outside of these. Raid weapons never do. Etheric light never drops from anything less than a NF. Even IB is a considerable investment of time. And there's more than enough to do in the week. Raids, NFs, PoE, ToO, bounties, crucible, heroics... I rarely get everything done, even on just one of my characters.

The majority of mmo players would disagree with you. Also destiny is way to easy progression wise with only a few items being suffix to obtain because of rng. I would just settle for a decent trading system though. I have so much junk that I dismantle that my friends could make better use of lol It should be a tier based trading system. Could only trade exotics for exotics or legendaries for legendaries.
