Comparing apples to oranges.
Skyrim's development code is wholly different than Destiny's. Unless you can say with irrefutable proof that you know exactly how the two were developed and coded, you don't really know what you're talking about.
I'm not standing up for bungie, merely stating that you don't really have the jurisdiction to make claims on how bungie is developing the game.

Even Skyrim wasn't able to run at its full potential and that was years ago so I don't even get why people are trying to compare. That said I don't know what Bungie is working with - but developing for Skyrim was likely easy if the CK is any indication. Just a bit of basic scripts and setting up of file paths.

I'm merely saying that a massive amount of content was able to be run on the older consoles, not that the games are identical.

You're right, last gen can handle a massive amount. But massive is not infinite. They are struggling to keep up, but the new consoles have power to spare. That is all I'm saying
