The hardcores keep saying that only the "elite" are worthy of making it to the Lighthouse but they themselves are only getting there by stomping over the bodies of all the lesser skilled, average players who are probably just trying to get any scrap of loot they can.
Introduce skill based matchmaking and we'll see how fast they complain about never getting there when they have to play against all the other uber tryhards. Face it, you need the scrubs in there to pad those wins.

Well said my friend. And when the casual scrubs like myself stop ToO all together, like I did this week, then it's basically down to the elite only. Then people will really complain, because if you think 9/0 means you're something... Just wait until all you go up against are 4+ KD folks.
-
The more I think about it the more annoyed I am that I need to play the bloody hard (for a casual gamer) 32 POE or IB PVP or TOO PVP to upgrade materials. Bungie really do like breaking their own mechanisms. I have so many ascendant materials now that are doing nothing. Let us trade them for light. I'm a gamer. I get OCD. I just want to reach the next level, if I decide it's through doing 6249 patrols or playing 712 daily strikes so be it.
-
They did that so pvp players can now upgrade there stuff. Pvp player dont want to search for them.
-
Another funny thing is that they're talking about "only the elite is allowed in the Lighthouse!" and shit, yet they're carrying their lowbird friends through. You cannot even tell who is good or not just by wearing the emblem because of the high amount of scrubs that got carried through.
-
Yeah, this is another thing that's interesting. There's apparently people charging money to carry shitty players through flawless runs, there's twitch streamers doing it for subs, so pretending it's for elites only is pretty silly.
-
And some average players keep acting like they 'NEED' to get to the Lighthouse... Hell some even created Posts on here asking Bungie to make it easier.
-
Yeah, those dudes are goobers too. I'm not too fussed about whether or not I get there but I'd still like to see skill based matchmaking.
-
But lesser rewards for the lower skill otherwise its lost any appeal it may have had.
-
Then why play it? It's already kinda weird that the best elemental primaries can only be gotten from Trials. They put the best PvE gear in a PvP game mode so people are doing desperate shit to get it.
-
Because you can move up tiers as you get better for better rewards, they are only good PVP weapons anyways. Why play sports why don't we call it a tie before every game and everyone can hold hands. No challenge, no fun.
-
Yeah a type of system would be good... Though I like getting surprised by who I'm matched up with. I hate when players leave and then fools like the OP start complaining they don't get rewards... You have a chance to earn rewards even if you lose. Even if the loot isn't as good as the Reward Packages you get from Vance, it's still usable loot.
-
I agree, and I'm glad to see them punishing people who quit out on Trials. It shouldn't be easy, regardless of skill. I still haven't even attempted a run yet but when I do I don't want stuff just handed to me.
-
Yeah. I love it when players who quit get their due. And yeah I hate it when I get shit handed to me so easily. I want a fight not some pansies quitting when the going get's rough. Seriously though... I remember having some people quitglitch out on me. Don't me wrong a win is a win, but people don't even try sometimes until they fight like... Lvl 30s.
-
Stop trying to speak for a game mode you haven't played. Can't believe idiots actually agreed with you.

Edited by SMACK KEVORKIAN: 6/6/2015 8:36:08 PMTell me where I'm wrong then, dummy. I don't need to play game mode to see what's obvious to everyone. Edit: Dude, holy shit. Just looked at your time played. You must have a ridiculous amount of free time.

You. Win. ALL the internets today sir. Bravo.
