Which weapons are you upgrading/have you upgraded first with Etheric Light?
So far I've upgraded:
1. Efrideet's Spear
2. Jolder's Hammer
Upgraded those mostly due to the amount of PVP I have been playing lately - Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner.
I currently have a few Etheric Light stashed away, but I am still debating on which of the raid weapons to upgrade. Blackhammer is definitely top on the list as I have not been lucky enough for a Fatebringer to drop. :(

Went on a Etheric Light spending spree and ascended these:
1. Vision of Confluence
2. Black Hammer
3. Fang of Ir Yut
4. Word of Crota
5. Found Verdict
6. Praedyth's Revenge
7. Swordbreaker
8. Hunger of Crota
9. FATEBRINGER! (Dropped yesterday - 06/14/15, ascended before leveling up)
My reasoning for ascending raid weapons before vendor weapons is the fact that I will not break these down for any reason - they have great perks and they are versatile for burns in Nightfalls, Prison of Elders, and other activities.
Also I only ascend one copy of each weapon since I use Destiny Item Manager for loadouts.

2 RepliesI've upgraded Fatebringer and Found Verdict so far. I'm going to have to upgrade a heavy (probably Hunger of Crota) soon because I recently got the Elder Cypher bounty so I need to save my exotic slot for whatever I end up choosing. On a somewhat related note, which is the best Elder Cypher weapon for PvE? I was thinking about going for Lord of Wolves or Dregs Promise.

1 ReplyIn general order of importance: 1.) Fatebringer (feel free to ignore this one, OP) 2.) Vision of Confluence 3.) Black Hammer 4.) Hunger of Crota 5.) Praedyth's Revenge/Found Verdict 6.) Corrective Measure 7.) Found Verdict/Praedyth's Revenge (whichever you didn't already ascend) 8.) Word of Crota (Unless you have a better Void primary, such as The Messenger, the Scholar, or Aegis of the Kell II) 9.) Praetorian Foil/Light in the Abyss 10.) Whichever of the above fusion rifles you've failed to ascend Note that this list will vary depending on what other weaponry you have to ascend or if you even have all the weaponry listed. For instance, I had a Gheleon's Demise w/ Firefly and Outlaw, so I ascended that before I ascended Black Hammer, as I liked being able to pop heads and kill large groups from a fairly long distance without having to use Special ammo, but I still ascended Fatebringer and Vision of Confluence first because I wanted to be ready for [i]any[/i] burns I would've encountered that week. Also, Word of Crota is garbage. Just putting that out there.
