It looks awesome, but it looks very much like F3. That kid is directly from the game haha. It looks like they just took F3 and gave it Super Mutant Behemoth steroids.

  • Lol, it doesn't look much like Fallout 3, just observe the colors alone...

You don't have a very good eye or imagination I'm guessing. Just the Vault Dweller and his Dog alone is enough evidence that they basically just are using a theme from F3. Vault 101, Vault 111? The child in the running scene, is wearing a blue and white stripped shirt and red hat. The pants are similar in fashion as well, it looks like they just took Fallout 3 character models and improved the animation and graphics. Which don't get me wrong, that would be the easiest way to get the game to come out faster, but it just seems poorly done and cheap to me. As far as the colors go, I don't see the colors as a big deal. It's not really that there's more color, there's just more things that are around to make it colorful compared to before, where it was a barren wasteland of nothingness and destroyed buildings. Now that I think about it, what is your opinion on this idea? What if we play as F3 protagonists father? And see things through his eyes and to the point where he goes to Vault 101? That would be interesting.

  • Ugh... Trying my best to get past your opening insult alone, I'll return with my rebuttal. First of all, don't pretend to know me, and don't insult my imagination. Second, well I'll be damned if Fallout 4 has the same theme as the other Fallouts. My golly, they're only within the same retro 1950's Post-Cold-War-gone-nuclear apocalypse. Yes, stylistic choices such as clothes and vault-wear are obviously similar. Vault 101 to 111? A laughable comparison. Thirdly, assuming you are a fan of the series, you should be able to appreciate what the colors do for the game. Fallout 3 used very dull colors, along with a green tint to emphasis the radiation amidst the rubble. And that's all I've got for now...

  • Haha, I was worried that that sounded like an insult, I even went back to edit it to make it more friendly, I'm not very good with my wording and I apologize for that. I get that they're adding things to the game that will change it, obviously like the Vertiberds, the giant blimp, more detailed lands and buildings, things are going to make the game seem so much different than the rest. But I for one am just getting tired of the whole 'Vault Dweller comes out of the vault to explore this new destroyed world with his dog' theme. Thus far I'm liking the hints though that we'll possibly get to play before the bombs drop. Fallout 3 and New Vegas (in my opinion) were so dull and boring simply due to console restrictions. The older consoles had enough issues playing those games anyways, if the graphics were improved they may have been almost unplayable. I liked the dull and dusty look honestly, it made it feel eerie. Lonely. Deadly.

  • Oh :/ well sorry for the sharp reply, then. Yea, idk much about it, but it looks like it's going to be really large, given the several populated areas we saw in the video. While yes it does seem redundant, coming out of the vault, it does make a good canvas to paint your own story on. And I suppose I wouldn't mind if it were similar to F3, I am a lover of this universe. Well, either way, I guess I'm at the mercy of the hypetrain!!!

  • Oh no no! It's fine, I see how it looks insulting lol, that was my fault! Nothing to do but wait until June 14 for the train to arrive haha.

  • You're from that area? That has to be awesome. I always wished they'd make a game somewhere I had been or seen before
