You should never play any game for a prolonged time on a Plasma screen as it is almost guaranteed to burn an image onto the screen. It's not in any way Bungies fault that an image is burned into your screen.
Dying Light doesn't have HUD options and if you play that for a prolonged time it will burn an image onto a Plasma screen, that's not Techlands fault, it's the consumers for using a Plasma without the appropriate knowledge of how to preserve the screen
I have a 2006 Panasonic TH-50PHD8 Plasma that has still got perfect picture quality and I refuse to play video games on it because I know how bad it is for the screen. There is a reason LCD are better for gaming… not to mention that most TV companies don't produce Plasma screens anymore so why make a game benefit outdated technology?

I've been gaming exclusively on plasmas since 2009 and never had a burn in problem until destiny. Fault is irrelevant, if Bungie wants my continued business, they need to accommodate me. That's how corporations work. If they don't care, that's fine. Plenty of other games to buy. LCD's are not better for gaming, at least not in equivalent price brackets. They have generally higher input lag (much improved lately), worse contrast ratios and poorer motion handling (thus the need for the motion interpolation mode, aka soap opera effect). It is ridiculous to say "it's old so they don't need to support it" How many millions of people are still using older 720p HDTVs? Should destiny not function at that resolution? Hell, I guarantee you can fire up destiny on a 480i CRT and play it just fine as long as you like squinting to read text. Few are producing plasmas today, but there are tens of millions of them in use and it is absolutely ridiculous that they refuse to make the hud translucent.

I have the same TV - logged over 1000hrs on destiny. Didn't even think about image burn - haven't had any issues though. It's my "old" TV so not as much of a worry.

Took the words right out of my mouth.
