[b]Hola amigos. I'm Phoenix, and this is just something to set the tone of Ch. 8. It mentions some of Ch. 7 as well, just to ensure that you're caught up with the recent events :).[/b] [i]There was a time where kidnappings and abductions wouldn't go unnoticed. Families would've reported missing persons, or neighbours would've seen the odd disappearance. But now was not that time. Every main force that the Imperium of Man had to offer was outside the Golden City, fending off the constant hordes of Chaos. The sounds of the battle raged constantly throughout the day, piercing the tallest of walls that separated the civilians from the soldiers. Things have only gotten worse after the Beast was vanquished. Instead of falling apart, the Cult of Armageddon has seethed with insanity at the death of their unholy messiah. Reports of black-cloaked figures roaming the streets and ransacking shops have dotted the fading media of the Golden City. No one paid any attention to it though: they had much more bigger things to worry about. It was as if the City had entered a depression of sorts. Not only economically, but the overall emotion of the census was that of a bleak outlook. Suicides weren't uncommon anymore-- people would rather die than endure the constant ambience of the Cult, Daemons, and the raging war between the Imperium and Chaos. Much had happened to leave the districts barren like a ghost town. Even the wealthy in the inner districts felt the whisper of the noose calling to them. Their ruler; their Primarch had fallen in battle. After a killing spree due to some sort of possession, he was killed in a battle for the Golden City 23 years ago. Sarris-Sanguine had fallen to the agent of Chaos, Armageddon, and had to be destroyed in order to stop his mad possession. About 23 years after that battle, the Son of Armageddon had grown into a dark saviour. Birthed from the gored womb of some poor concubine, the Beast had evolved into the leader of the Cult. His dark ways penetrated the cowardly and the brave political figures, corrupting the government of Terra. There was a recent battle. The Cult leader has been killed, and scars of the massive conflict rake across the once-proud districts of the Golden City. Everyone thought it would all end. But they were so horribly far from the truth. A galaxy-wide war spreads across the planets outside Terra as Sarris-Sanguine's evil brother, The Summoner, envelopes the Abyssal Colonies with his tirade of abominations from the Warp, a dimension where all Chaos is born. Now that battle has spread to the outer walls of the Golden City, where the Imperium forces barely hold them back. Corpses littered the dark alleyways and nooks of the Districts, furthering the constant feeling of hopelessness for the citizens of Terra. A mad and ravenous infestation of Tyranids, massive insect-like creatures that swarm and murder at every chance they get, still lurk the City's underworld. It is not a matter of the fighting the darkness that looms outside the Golden City... But a matter of fighting the darkness that continues to grow within it.[/i]

[b][i]Chapter 8 - The Legion of Darkness has begun. Here's what's currently happening:[/i][/b] [i]War comes to the Abyssal Colonies. Hundreds of planets have been outright destroyed by the forces of the Summoner and Chaos. The remaining planets are in conflict for the rich resources needed to resupply the fleets and boost economies. Planet Valhalla is in open revolt - the Summoner started the revolt by a staged event that turned the planet against itself, but most have no idea that the Summoner is behind it. Pavel and First Captan Corvo Karras are in the process of aiding the loyalists, but things have become more complicated - the Summoner has sent an Asset. Terra and the Golden City remains a constant power struggle between the cultists, the political factions, and chaos itself. Assassinations, betrayal, and open conflict have become the norm. Many other secondary plots are in progress as well.[/i]

[b][i]A list of current events for those of you who are lost. 1. The cultists are being hunted down on many fronts, across many planets. The majority of the posts happening are cult related. 2. Libreous-Tibrarium was captured by the Summoner while on a mission to rescue Pavel. While in captivity, he began reading the Lexicon of Sin in an attempt to understand his enemies. In the dark book, he discovered a complex ritual to resurrect Sarris-Sanguine - it succeeded, but the Summoner murdered Sarris and took his soulbound, chaos sword, the Blood Reaper. The Summoner is now empowered with the great sword. Libreous and his new ally, Kolat, have been rescued - but it seems that Libreous may have been tainted by his use of the dark powers to resurrect his beloved Primarch, Sarris-Sanguine. 3. Many new people have arrived to RoB and are looking for plots. As most of you know, I'm nocturnal.. During the day if you wish, make posts for the new people so that they feel welcome. If you see a post with no comments, please don't hesitate to interact with them. 4. Shark created a RoB group, you're all welcome to join! Just a small thing The Mechas have taken the Plains and Dead Mans Land,they did not take the swamp as to fear the Plague God,Nurgle will get angry. In their fortress in the clouds they were planning to take the golden city but they were interrupted by Legionaires.

Another chaos being to match a chaos being, Agent Missouri was sent in to combat Xalix. -Xalix and Missouri are currently still fighting, as Missouri has channeled the Chaos Deity of Apophisis and transformed into a giant red snake.

A battle rages in the wake of the disappearance of the citadel shadows (jay teleported the entire structure to his new world, deep within the eye of terror) On planet 46-19 (garden of sorrow): 1. A battle continues in orbit between Allied forces (Sarris-Sanguine's fleet and Venom inc) and chaos fleets (Karnis's fleet and Sleekthrone's demonic IMC) 2. A battle continues on the surface of 46-19 between several allied and chaos forces 3. Venom inc has arrived to 46-19. They come to aid the allied forces against chaos 4. Sarris-Sanguine himself is drawn to the dark side of 46-19 by his bloodlust - but will soon be faced with a potent, 3rd party entity. Libreous searches for his primarch. His new mission is to save his Sarris from a new antagonist: Armageddon, the shadow king In the eye of terror: 1. The chaos forces of Jay (the new summoner) and others rally for the oncoming assault
