The Destiny community has taken the term "cheesing" to mean cheating, or abusing a game mechanic in a way the developer had not intended. However, the original meaning for the term cheesing stems from using a cheesy, near fool-proof method to overcome an obstacle. For example, early fighting games would often contain a character or move that could be easily spammed to defeat most opponents. Cheesy? Yes. Cheating? No. In this manner, gjallarhorn spam is definitely cheesing. Edit: By no means do I think that using gjallarhorn is cheating, or that it is not a legitimate tactic. I only mean that the weapon is so over the top powerful compared to everything else that it is ridiculous. Almost every problem in the game can be solved by simply throwing more gjallarhorns at it. That is the definition of cheese as it was originally coined.
