If every strat wasn't "we group up and Ghorn the boss" this wouldn't be such an issue.

I can see your point, but the root of that is not the heavy synth timer, it is ghorn. In reality resetting the timer would help non ghorn groups more than ghorn groups because they don't have that huge advantage ghirn provides and need to have all their items at their disposal, plus all the timer does is force the ghorn groups to wait for the timer, it doesn't actually require them to adjust their strategy.

*shrug* It's a game mechanic. It has been a known game mechanic since launch. It's a "problem" these days as every strategy relies on unloading massive damage at once, via snipers and rockets. I think changing it the way you prescribed would encourage the playstyle of "blowing your load" and not creating a group strategy.

The timer persisting through a wipe took me by surprise way back week one doing strikes. I honestly couldn't believe it. To me it would be like having the sated debuff from bloodlust in WoW persist through death to the end of its timer. The ghorn issue is an issue with ghorn (I think they should just remove tracking and prox det). I also don't particularly have any issue with having fights be a dps race when every class is basically dps.
