Spartans can't float

NOTE: I think that floating Spartans will be such a cool graphical effect that I will have to buy several pairs of adult diapers along with my copy of Halo 5. In response to everyone saying how realistic it is, however, I just wanted to show that it scientifically impossible for a Spartan to float. Let me explain: [*] A boat or anything that floats displaces an amount of water whose weight is equal to the weight of the floating object. Example: A 40,000 ton cruise ship displaces 40,000 tons of water. This is the basic scientific principle of buoyancy. [*] Therefore, a 1000 lb. Spartan would have to displace 1000 lbs. of water in order to float. [*] A gallon of fresh water weighs about 8.34 lbs. (Click here for source) [*] Using the above conversion, 1000 lbs of water is about 120 gallons. [*] Therefore, a Spartan's body plus his armor would have to displace about 120 gallons of water in order to float. [*] Do you think that you could fit 120 gallons of water into a seven foot tall suit of MJOLNIR armor? No way. Average human body displacement is ten to twenty gallons, depending on how big you are. Even the largest Spartan would be maybe double that. [*] Therefore, a Spartan only displaces less than 40 gallons of water - which is less than 33% of the amount that he would need to displace in order to float. Therefore:: Floating Spartans are impossible. I do agree, however, that the effect will be amazing. And I always wanted to see if adult diapers are as great as old people say they are.
