people who voted yes: those who are religious but dont want to admit that science answers more questions than their centuries-old book does, but are too afraid to admit they might not be as religious as they thought they were.

  • that doesnt make any sense. science, by definition, is observable, testable, and verifiable. if i wanted to, i could take any scientific findings and do the research myself and do the experiments myself and come to the same conclusion. the same cannot be said for religion. if humanity was wiped from the earth, the next intelligent beings would rediscover mathematics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, etc, but they wont rediscover the same exact religions that we have had.
