A friend of mine had 3 teams quit on him at the start of the match in a single run, 2 of those the same team. I cant imagine a team just quitting after getting scared of a loadout or something, it counts as a loss, why not try?
So i think he encountered a team that was going for a 9-0 but already got a loss so they decided to give away 2 free wins before starting over. Or something like that.
Last night i tried to get a flawless for the last time, didnt have enough coins for the doubling bounty so when i hit 8-0 my fireteam was already at 9-0. It would be just my luck to lose that round while my friends parade around with their exotic emblem. Luckily my last round was also a quitting team. Got there easily that run. The sixth win or so was also a quitting team. So including the free win buff, that was already 3 easy wins.

All the games across three characters all weekend, not one single team quit against me... Interesting...

Guess we were just scary then, lol

It doesn't count as a loss if it's done during loading

Edited by Zoop: 5/26/2015 7:05:03 PMAlso this got me thinking. What if 2 fireteams started matchmaking at the same time, both teams quit during loading (change character or something) if the two teams dont get paired. When it does, only one team quits during loading. Repeat 9 times > profit How much does matchmaking keep tabs on reocurring matchups?

Really? Well it did count as a win for me :p Besides, in one of the games 2 guys dropped, one stayed and only left after it started (i guess they got disconnects or something), so the intro animation showed 4 guardians. Are you saying those 2 didnt get a loss and that last guy did? If it really works that way, people could cherrypick the lvl30 teams or something for easy noob stomping.
