While I'll agree it should be earned. There is something to think about and why the system is a little broken. Why would you only give out primary weapons with elemental damage in ToO, when those weapons would be more useful in PVE. While I don't care because I will probably still fall back on my Fate, VOC, and others it just doesn't make sense. Not everyone in this game likes or even cares to play PVP. Bungie in turn has basically said if you want the new weapons for PVE you must play PVP. Again that's fine, but you can't really expect to ask a primary PVE player just to go into the ToO and win. And saying "Get Gud Scrub" just makes you look like an ass. Again, the lighthouse should be earned, but they do need to look at the weapons. Nothing should be given away, but you can't seriously ask a PVE player to play PVP and expect them to win 9 in a row or even 9-1 or 9-2 without being carried. Not trying to argue, but just saying. I'm glad PVP'ers have something to call their own and for those that have won congrats...really congrats. Just think about what I said. Should a PVE player be forced to play PVP to get weapons that could help them in PVE?
Edit:
So after reading I noticed that the level 35 poe can drop elemental primaries. Didn't know that. So I will just say nevermind and leave it like it is. Except Bungie needs to increase the drop rate for those weapons. Did 7 35's last week and no drop, but it looks like if you complete the trails you will get one and it's not having to pray to the RNG gods. :) To the PVP'ers enjoy your new weapons.

You can go 7 and 1 and make it to the light house
-
Oh, didn't know that. Thank you.

Yes but what about the vex. You have to go through PvE to be able to get that and it's one of the better weapons in the crucible

Oh, I agree, but what about: TLW, Thorn, FWL, Hawk, etc.... Your talking about 1 weapon. How many does the ToO have? Not that it matters, since I now know there are primaries in POE. But if I wanted to debate this: Which would you say is harder: A PVP'er doing Crota, VOG, or POE or a PVE'er winning 9 matches in ToO without being carried. It's safe to say that if 3 PVE players went against 3 PVP players the odds are easily in the PVP players favor. Even if they were to win one maybe 2 rounds I don't think they would win 5. But like I said I'm happy that the PVP players have something to call their own and I'm happy that they get their own weapons. I guess the issue is with the fairness of it. I believe the PVP player has a better chance of obtaining not only the ToO weapons, but also the PoE ones as well. While the PVE player will most likely be stuck with the PoE weapons until they either "Get Gud" or Carried, which for some people just might not be in the cards because they just can't play the PVP and no matter how much they try just can't get to where they need to be. I'm happy with the system and really wouldn't ask for a change except like I said, maybe the drop rate in POE needs to be better. Again to all that have won ToO. Great Job, you earned it.

And in my personal opinion when your talking about 3 PvE vs 3 PvP. I don't think anyone has an advantage. I think you're either good at the game or you're not. Like when I play against people who use thorn. I don't see a difference between any other gun when I get shot. You gotta know how to strafe and move around. And I think I just have those skills from playing halo my whole life. I don't think it's the weapons. I think it's the player. And why wouldn't skills from PvE carry over online. It should. At least I think so.

To be fair. The thorn is a bounty

Yes, that you need to do the crucible to complete, which is a problem I have always stated. Bungie has made it a point to force everyone to play PVP whether they wanted to or not for the exotic bounties except for Super Good Advice. Why are they forcing players to play a part of the game they don't want to play. Yes, they don't have to, but then there's no way other way of getting the weapons. Like a said it's all good the way it is since POE has it own weapons, just making the case about ToO and it's flaw with the weapons it gives out.

This is the first really good argument that I've heard against trials of Osiris. I think it's completely true you shouldn't have to go through ToO just to get these primary weapons with elemental damage, weapons that are key to success in prison of elders. This is where I take problem with the event, although small problem it is I feel. It would be nice to have an equivalent that would allow us to get something of equivalence like an elemental mod that can be equipped to PoE weapons.
