The problem with what you're saying is that
1) It generalizes everyone and generalities are generally wrong.
2) You're generalizing everyone as being antisocial, stupid pricks.
I've played long enough and enough online multiplayer to know that most people want to be social, most want to be helpful and most are more than capable given the chance.
When 360 released, everyone used mics and talked. If Destiny had released and encouraged communication, I think you'd find most would have bought in and used mics.
Anyone who's played WoW or other MMOs know that your assumptions about randoms raiding are wrong too. There are always people who step up to lead and fail groups are very few and far between.
I ran my first raids on here with people I didn't know. We did HM VoG first and then both normal and HM Crota. We beat both with 5 people easily (and I wasn't the only one who it was their first runs).
Seriously, how much time does it take to explain killing Oracles or going left or right if not teleported? Then jump on a platform and blast the boss for 10 second, rinse and repeat.
Crota is even easier.
If that is really your (and Bungie's) outlook at this community, then why the hell even play or if you're them, make the game?
I'm sorry, you're entitled to believe what you want, but I know what people are capable of and I know most are good.
