At current, our philosophy about endgame content is that part of the challenge includes forming up a team. This is a strong community filled with players who are looking for teammates. Why not seek each other out here and band together?

Man fallouts going to be great oh how I love you Bethesda

Because it's more wasted time depriving us of matchmaking wastes our LIMITED time by making us go on the forums or other lfg sites
-
Well as I'm sure you guys realize it also. That people just give up too fast and then you're spending maybe 10 to 15 minutes to look for new players to join and that's too much work, just put in OMM. You never know what the outcome will be. This is probably one of the most request put in and still you guys haven't done anything to acknowledge it. I bet you if anything when more people start playing less and leave you guys then will put it in. By then people will already be over it and moved on to something else. If I were you guys I would much rather meet the players needs versus what you guys only think will work for us.

Edited by M2015Brown: 9/30/2015 8:38:10 PMIf they use it to prop up the game when everyone has already left will be the Bungie way too little too late
-
Exactly my point. I'm just saying they shouldn't wait till then to save their game. This game is slowly dying.
-
In game LFG or lobby Bungie. Stop being absolute D-bags and just implement it.
-
Atleast make a chat system in the game for easier lfg or easier to make groups
-
I keep rereading this and becoming upset.
-
If playing together is so important then optional matchmaking and ingame LFG are required as standard........Get a grip Bungie

Because fellow guardians in here like to bait people and kick them at the boss? Decent reason not to 'band together here' Maybe parents don't want their teens having to friend strangers and join a party with more strangers? Decent reason not to 'band together here' Ok, philosophy revolves around end game content. What about the rest? Missions, end game content which no longer is end game content(vog, crota, PoE if people even play those anymore. Not sure why they would).... Both of those, no reason not to put it in.

Edited by m00ninite: 9/30/2015 2:07:23 PMWhat an excuse, wow. What would be so difficult to add a toggle box for optional MM into your game, or set up actual game lobbies like tons of other online co-op games do? Why such the lazy approach from devs that are knowingly leaving features out of your game? Don't you want to have all of this IN your own universe to be proud of? This is the same approach as how there is still no Grimoire terminal in the Tower to go and read the lore. Blatantly leaving things OUT of your title is only making Bungie look bad. Want a REALLY simple solution? Let us put color-coded signal flags over our characters while in social spaces indicating that we are LFG for a certain activity. I would rather stand around in Tower/Reef with an orange bubble over me letting people know I want to raid, and let them inspect me and invite me, than be forced to leave the game and form a group via LFG.

Edited by Maplewonder: 10/1/2015 3:08:03 PMLol, i actually have always seen the tower as a form of lobby... i figured they would grow that concept Hell, they even have a lounge area that nobody uses

Edited by Christian399: 9/30/2015 2:18:54 PMHow about you put the tools and interface for "meeting, communicating and forming a team" with players in your game first, and then you might have an actual point? Right now, in your game with the tools on offer, we can stand around and randomly invite people for who knows what. It's inexcusably lazy to leave that legwork to the community. LFG should have been made by Bungie, not players struggling to be social within your social game. Optional matchmaking is in every competitive product on the market, except yours.

Edited by ShapelessHorr0r: 9/30/2015 1:44:29 PM-because we don't have the time -because apparently ease of use is bad -because I'm high enough level where the old raids aren't a major challenge -because there should be an in-game chat already (interesting how a free to play game, that requires more team work in its raid, has a recruiting chat - Warframe) -because I don't play Destiny enough to care about forming a regular group -because it literally makes no sense not to have the OPTION -because the current messaging system is flawed and frustrating -because your vision is irrelevant to mine as I am the consumer Bro, the hardest part about Vault of Glass is getting the team together. :/
-
Optional matchmaking is what this game needs.

Looks like some 1700 replies still disagree with this philosophy.

You can't play because: don't have a Gally, don't have a sniper, grimoire score to low, sun singer not fully leveled, don't have truth, light is 289 not 290, you're a kid, you don't speak English, don't have a mic, etc etc etc. All you do is create a place to discriminate and that never settles well for anyone. So your "Philosophy" is flawed
-
You must have played with some peanuts i have made some great friends out of the endgame some of them are now my constant fireteam
-
I mad lots of friends I still run with on vog and crota (mainly crota) but I have yet to meet anyone from the lfg forums from kings fall that I would play with again
-
Bump for deej
-
Jesus Christ deej what is wrong with you? Everyone DEFINITELY has time to go out into the world and ask strangers if they play destiny, what console, and would you like to raid with me.

Edited by Karnage75: 9/30/2015 2:02:03 AMSounds like a fancy way of saying they are too incompetent to make a simple fix and add eg matchmaking. Or they're scared we won't come back after draining the raid loot tables and aren't wasting half our play time trolling the damn lfr posts. Weak
