At current, our philosophy about endgame content is that part of the challenge includes forming up a team. This is a strong community filled with players who are looking for teammates. Why not seek each other out here and band together?

Actually it's not all you have to do is tell us what is being worked on, just one thing would be enough. And then just throw out some interesting stats from the week, and I mean interesting. For example how many games in which a guardian went unkilled.
-
Why not have a real convo with people? Sorry this isn't reddit and all, but you helped make the forums the way they are by not being present. You and your team can step up, take some initial flack for being absent, and help move things in the right direction. Or you can do the same thing over and over again.

DeeJ replied to six posts in the month of June. You probably wrote more in those few sentences than he did all month.
-
No he can't, because he doesn't give a shit.

When I get home at 3 am from work, it's a pain in the butt to try to recruit people. So I end up spend more time in the forums than in the game.
-
People all over the world play this game, I personally play with people in atleast 3 timezones, so if you post in the recruitment section a couple of times you will probably get a response within a few minutes. If you've got time to complete a raid at 3am, surely you have 5 mins to get a few players? just a question.

Exactly

I want to play a video game, not join a social network

Your posting in a forum where you can find players?
-
That's exactly what a LFG feature is supposed to do... If that's what you want, where is it?
-
Although I understand Bungie's reasoning for the lack of matchmaking for Raids, ToO, etc., but scouring this site and others (DestinyLFG) won't guarantee pleasant experiences in those endgame activities. Having only done a few Raids (only Crota's End) with random players, I have mostly atrocious experiences with all those groups and a newly found hatred for Raids with random people you know little to nothing about.
-
Dude matchmaking is the exact same thing as what you just said wow your stupid
-
Your post made no sense my friend.

Edited by LordChocoSlime: 7/2/2015 7:19:25 PMAmazing, you call me "stupid" for simply voicing in opinion without any constructive feedback? It's sad that some people respond to others' comments with such ignorant and unwarranted insults. But hey, that's the internet for ya.

Dude that sucks that you have had shitty raid experiences. I've only ever had one bad time, but if you get 5 other players who are decent they are so much fun. Feels to you.
if you ever just want to have a good time during raids hit me up if you're on xbox
-
Lol that's cute.
-
Best case scenario? Takes me half an hour to find one person to play PoE lvl 32 with. Don't bother asking how long it takes to find two people, or how long it takes to find people for the higher levels. GIVE US MATCHMAKING ALREADY!!!

Cause newsflash Deej, not all of us have the friend count or the count of people who have or still play destiny for groups to work. Also consider the fact of a little thing called timezones. Most of my friends live in other countries so its not always possible to line up our times in a convenient way. Also some people have jobs so its not like they have all the time 24-7 to just run out and play Destiny non-stop. Provide at least the option to do matchmaking and I am sure for those who want to still do it with friends, they will do it with friends. For those with not enough to make a 6 man team for a raid, matchmaking can help to fill in the blanks. Or at least have some sort of ingame status that shows people who are looking for raid partners instead of making us have to message randoms in the hopes that they are wanting to do it.

And you can schedule a time to play. That is what Deej was talking about, and you wrote an essay missing his point lol

All of the negative replies to this post seem to be people missing the point.

No I get what he is saying but the fact of the matter if I don't like adding randoms for simply the fact of playing Destiny. I likes to add friends cause I want to play with friends, not some person I know little to nothing about. Besides is it really so hard to add matchmaking for raids or nightfall? If they can't do that, they need to have an ingame status thing that let's people know they are looking for raiders or players for the nightfall and no I don't mean on Bungie I mean in the actual game itself. Heck what about connections to clanmates in game? Warframe has that and its a free to play game for crying out loud. The amount of 'social' interaction in this game is sad honestly, all we got is emotes and voice chat though I realise that adding text chat might be hard to do. But just something that people can do to be able to better communicate with people in game like mass messaging or such, just something that doesn't require us to always come to this site just to look for people to help with raids and praying to god that someone answers. Besides planning times can be hard when some people have jobs and some don't, some have previous engagements so lining up 6 people at once isn't exactly easy if you are looking for raiders. Matchmaking would solve a LOT of problems but they don't want to do it cause of their 'philosophy' that means jack when its hard to get people in the first place to line up all their timelines for the sake of a raid which can take up to 1-2 hours depending on how good and well equipped you are. So I get what Deej is saying but I disagree with it and say that matchmaking needs to be more widespread in this game. They want to be an MMO, make like other MMO's do and open more ways for people to invite that doesn't require going onto forums.

If you use smart glass on your smartphone then why can't you open this app and find players on the app, you don't have to add them to your friends. Just search for them and send them an invite, all of the people with similar opinion to yourself seem to be incapable of using both the mobile app and your console to their full potential.
-
When your philosophy ends in the vast majority of people never playing a raid, you may wish to re-evaluate your philosophy. You might be wrong. Stop being a lazy developer, give people the in game tools they need to play your game. Along with in game clan management tools. Also grimoire. Also a story for the game. That would be nifty.

Shut up and stop double spacing

I see that extremely low IQ must be a mandatory prerequisite for the Bungie defense force. There's another double space just for you... ;)
