Why is it that the replace meant perks are horrible in comparison to old ones
Here is one for example that ticks me off
Matching guns used to have access to field scout and add 63 rounds to machine guns with 87 rounds and have bonus reserve ammo, and had no drawback
Now they have this replacement perk called casket mag which adds 18 rounds to machine guns with 87 rounds gives no bonus reserve ammo and significantly reduces your stability?
This imbalance is complete Nerf on matching guns and an imbalance in perk deficiency why have a perk give so little for such a big draw back if anything it should be stronger than field scout and double the mag size
What is your opinion on this and are there any other perks you have found that have this sort of imbalance?

The new perks are woeful, but on the bright side it just adds an absolute tonne of snowflake status to my older guns :D

1 ReplyThey finally learned about balance. You shouldnt have a gun with a weakness or two and with perfect perks bring it up to god tier status. The problem is they learned this way too late. All our legacy guns (at least the ones i kept) have superior perks and will stay better than 90 percent of the new crap they give us. I have gotten a bunch of purp drops and have kept like one gun. Stats are all over the place. Perks same thing. Good for the future of destiny but sucks for day 1s.

7 RepliesDid it replace Field Scout, or is it an alternate upgrade? If it's a replacer, I think it's more hurtful than helpful. The balancing factor with field scout is that you didn't get the benefits of he other upgrades in that tree. I do adore the idea of "Giveth and taketh away", but as a replacer, I just can't get behind it

1 ReplyI guess it just depends on which matching guns you have. I like to wear VoG gear with the mythoclast since those match very well. It all depends on taste, really.
you already went back and edited your post once, so you should have seen it then
The perks represent Bungies philosophy on helping the players. When they give, they must also taketh away.

5 RepliesThat actually sounds exactly like balancing to me. If you want more ammo you get less range/stability. And vice versa.

It makes no sense. Except to grind etheric light because old gear is better. Idk Wtf they are thinking.

Edited by LONE RONIN2012: 5/21/2015 12:09:32 PMThankfully my IB weapons reforged under the old perks. As for armor first chance I'm raising up my Nerigal Savant Warlock Chest armor, and roll gen 1 style.

2 RepliesMost of the new perks suck. I have found only a few that are good. All year one weapons are better.

1 ReplyThe new balance is basically have a weapon from before HoW or get outclassed.

10 RepliesAlso the new armors are ugly as well. Compared to the old ones. They look like they were just drawings that should have been thrown into the trash, just check my warlock. Does that actually look good to you? with big white flap on the site, and the helmet? EWW
