That is how it is now except with trading you would be able to buy weapons off of websites. I'm sure you have seen people selling trials flawless and skolas completions, this would make it all the easier for people to buy and sell weapons to make profit. It's already sad that people are paying for completions.

But in my opinion, if they're lazy or stupid enough to buy a g-horn or any other exotic (which will probably be expensive for a weapon in a game), let them. They could easily get scammed. I wouldn't waste money on something like that

Neither would I. Possibly implementing a 1 trade per week limit and have to be friends for a month might change that though. On the other hand, look at games like hearthstone, there is no trading and I'm sure blizzard is making a killing off of it. Sure we don't buy packs, but we invest time, Investors like to see that a lot of people are playing the game and spending a lot of time playing as well to get their gjallarhorn and hawkmoons. Activision isn't dumb and they are looking at hearthstone gameplay. They see that no trading is increasing playtime by a lot. Take a look at Diablo, they took the entire opposite route and decided to let trading happen at a percent cost to the player and Diablo took that percent. Everyone was strong as -blam!- and ended up quitting the game since the content was too easy and they had everything they wanted. Because of this, Diablo took out trading obviously because there was more harm done to the game than positive even with their percent cut of money from real world trades.

I have a bunch of exotics that everybody wants, g-horn, icebreaker, hawkmoon, but I want the last word more than any of these weapons. Trading would help with this problem but cause many more, so I'll probably just deal with the fact that trading in destiny will be problematic and keep doing nightfall and raids.
