Vex are more like the flood than the hive are

Aesthetically, no. Behaviorally, yes.

There are several "Destiny versions" of halo things, if we're being honest. I know many won't want to admit that, and that some overlap is unavoidable in an outer space sci-fi video game, but nonetheless...
-
It's obvious that destiny's enemies are heavily based off of halo
-
Probably because they are made by the same people. Lol
-
Lol this is true. But at some point it shows a lack of creativity on Bungie's part, and could open them up to potential litigation if Microsoft chose to push it (which they aren't going to do).
-
I mean how many kinds of "space races" are there? Space pirates Space robots Space zombies Space Romans Space zealots
-
Lol the races alone don't bother me all that much, but the way the races often mirror things in halo (i.e. Dregg=Grunts), and weapons like the fallen gun with tracer rounds that feels like a cheap copy of the needler. I realize that doesn't bother everyone, but I think it's just a Halo shadow that Bungie will always live under in my mind.

Well halo definitely cast a big shadow, but if you give destiny some time, I think it will grow to be much more diverse than people think. It is the first game in a franchise, after all.
