05/13/2015: I've spoken with the finest minds at Bungie about Update 1.2.0 just moments ago. They're working to correct a late-breaking technical issue that would have impacted the way the game launches for a large portion of you. Progress is being made.
05/14/2015: Solutions for technical issues that have delayed the delivery of updates have been identified. Work is ongoing and we'll release the new content and the Patch Notes as soon as we can. Stand by for more information on timing.

218 RepliesTo everyone whining about the release being in jeopardy of pushed, this stuff happens. Nothing we can do about it except hope that Bungie can fix the issue in time. They didn't say the release was cancelled or even hint that it would be delayed. Chill out. And to the other people making fun of those taking off work to play the expansion, get over yourself. Some people take off to go to their child's recital or play or sporting events and that's considered "ok" by the public. And there are other people that take off to go on vacation by themselves or with friends to Vegas and that's also "ok". But, when a "nerd" decides they want to take off to play a new DLC for their favorite game, you jump down their throat and tell them to get a life or get their priorities straight. Whatever people do to make themselves happy, provided it is legal, shouldn't be considered ridiculous just because you don't agree. Work isn't the only thing in life and if you can't do the things that make you happy when you want or on your own terms, what is life truly about? Those things could be spending time with family or friends, repairing your house, going to a movie premiere or playing a video game or whatever. Find something else to do besides trolling the message boards looking for someone to put down to make yourself feel better. Most of us in the Destiny community are excited for the release and are anxious to try it out. And before you start asking, yes, I did take a day off of work to play this expansion. I work hard in a full time position and I earn days off and I can use them however I see fit. I'm also going on vacation with my wife and kids this summer. Does that make me a bad person too? Guardian out.
