How did humans evolve from apes? Why aren't apes extinct? Why was there a need to evolve from apes?
Now I do believe in animals evolving, but I don't believe that we evolved from apes

Edited by Camaztle: 5/14/2015 3:43:16 PMCommon misconception. We share a common ancestor with apes, but we didn't evolve from them. (chimpanzees, or orangutans, or bonobos etc.) Let fgt OP explain more. Primates branched off from one species into several different ones.

We didn't. We share a common ancestor with apes several million years ago.
