Arc Burn Nightfall: Fatebringer or Fang?

Fatebringer is more useful; Firefly

Fang of Ir Yut is better; 331 ATK

Both can hold their own pretty well

Hey everyone. I just had a quick question. So, I took a day off of work when they revealed the Prison of Elders on Wednesday. After the stream, I ran VoG HM and nabbed Fatebringer (so damn happy). I maxed it out a couple of days ago, but have yet to use it in a Nightfall. I also have the Fang (which I love), and have used it on every Arc Burn NF I've ran since I've received it. So I ask you; if the rumors are true, and Omnigul is once again going to be this weeks Nightfall, and it happens to be Arc Burn, what would you/should I use?

  • If it's Omnigul Fatebringer will be more useful in the first section, Fang in the second (range) and alternating Fate/Fang at Omnigul depending on enemy density. Basically when there's lots of thralls run Fatebringer because one headshot can wipe out a whole horde of them. But when it's a ranged fight or the mobs are spread out use Fang because it has more shots, fires faster, and had much better range.

  • Change out weapons for each encounter! In general, Fang is better for long range engagements and Fatebringer owns groups. Each strike has a bit of both.

  • I switch between encounters in that strike. First part fatebringer if those hordes of thrall come you want to dispatch them quickly Second part vs fallen the fang becouse the vandals with line rifles are easier dispatched at range Last rooms fatbringer again due to clustered enemies in tight spaces.

  • Depends on the nightfall. If mobs are close roll with FB. If they are distant, use the Fang.
