How many tries did it take you to get the Mythoclast?
Just trying to gather some data to get some insight into the drop rate for this lovely weapon.
Feel free to comment the exact number of tries it took you, or anything else you would like to get off your back.

ive gotten 3 i i have defeated Atheon 4 times

I'm not sure but it was a good amount. I checked my stats earlier, and deducted that it was around 17-19 tries

I got a Vex and G-horn both in the same day when I was a lvl 27. Was carried through whole raid didn't do a thing, best day ever.

This is my favorite destiny story: Was drinking heavily and goofing off patrolling the moon. Next thing I know I wake up in my chair, controller in hand, sitting at the title screen. Stumbled to my bed and went back to sleep. Next morning I get on destiny and start doing bounties-but wait.. How the hell do I now have a mythoclast?! Get on party chat and start inviting my friends. None of them were on the night before and can't help me figure out what happened. Just as I had given up hope, my friend joined my party and said, how you liking that vex? What?! But how??? He then informed me that he was at atheon and someone backed out. He invited me and I joined saying gibberish. Apparently everyone was reluctant to have me but they decided to give it a go anyways. He informed me that I did amazing. I self rezed after the teleports and soloed the plates twice to save the team. I was rewarded with the vex and the team was none too happy the guy spouting nonsense that came in at atheon got it. It was my first hard mode and I don't even remember it.

Jumped in at atheon with a fireteam to help with VoG hard. Everyone was a little rusty at it but after a few wipes we cleared it easily. Once the rewards popped up one of the more talkative guys got real quiet. Someone asked who got the vex. The guy said I did really quietly. Everyone was saying congrats and asked if that's his first one. All we heard was this little squeal of excitement. We all laughed and I said judging by that squeal I will say that's your first. We all had a good laugh and disbanded. Just a little story about someone getting the vex. I got mine on my first or second hard completion.

first hard clear. And i've gotten i believe 7 total. I've gotten it more than any other exotic by a long ways. The most i've gotten of others i think is two. lol. i got two dragon's breath in like two hours from two nightfalls.
