The universe didn't exit until after the big bang, so the rules didn't apply. But anyway, you need to assume that the universe is a closed system for your conclusion to be fair. Since we have particles popping into existence from seemingly nowhere, we rant can't rule out the possibility that the might be more to the system than just this universe.

Bad b8 The second law of thermodynamics states that entropy must increase in a closed system. Earth is not a closed system. We get a steady stream of energy from the sun. That being said, that amount of energy the sun gives off, compared to how much is being utilized is still achieving an increase in entropy. So evolution doesn't violate the second law of thermodynamics. (Hence its existence) As for #2. Adaptation, is one of the forces that drive evolution. Adaptation is driven by natural selection, and genetics runs underneath all of it, carrying the blue prints along. Go read a book, that isn't published by religious zealots.
at least make it take effort to show you why you're wrong.
• Your first "fact" isn't explained scientifically and doesn't sound logical. You are saying the Big Bang made the universe more organized? Your second "fact" is not a fact at all, but a strawman argument against the theory. Again, a lack of scientific understanding and/or explanation.

        • First argument only refers to closed systems. Earth is not a closed system. Second argument is faulty as adaptation is a result of survival of the fittest. Evolution refers to mutations and variations. An adaptation is a result of evolution through a mutation allowing life to survive more easily in its environment.

        • Random question: evolution is basically an organism changing slowly by (insert factor). It's new information introduced or at least refined information introduced into the DNA which is passed on. Bacteria does this very well, as seen in MDRO. My question is this, how does the organism know how to evolve/mutate? I thought that an extremely high percentage of all mutations are harmful or unproductive? The odds of a cell mutating in a positive way, then passing that new information on without the bodies defense immune system killing it off is extremely low correct? I mean we're not talking about one organism that got lucky, across the board organisms mutated and there immune systems either sucked or were advanced enough to not kill off all the "new" strange cells? This would put them way beyond us. Also bacteria that develops immunity to antibiotics, I thought this was due to the denature or breakdown of proteins? Ex: antibiotics kill bacteria in many ways, some bind to a protein and kill it. It's already been shown that antibiotics can bind to bacteria through a specific protein (let's say A) and not succeed in killing the bacteria but does succeed in destroying the protein A. This half killed bacteria can still replicate but does not replicate protein A because it was damaged. The new bacteria does not have protein A, therefore the antibiotics cannot bind. New bacteria is immune to that antibiotic now. Given this is one example with one antibiotic, but this is not evolution is it? New information was not gained, it was lost. The immunity was caused by the antibiotics not the bacteria. I'm just curious, and apologize if I said something stupid.

Don't forget the study of Structural Homology and the Geographical Column, they're evidence against evolution as well. And why aren't we still evolving? :)

          • The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics refers to closed systems. As Earth received energy primarily from The Sun. It is not a closed system. Evolution is not adaptation. Anyone who says that do not understand Evolution. Evolution is driven by genetic mutation or variation and natural selection, not adaptation. Note that Charles Darwin was never an atheist. At the time of his death, he was an agnostic. He stopped attending Church after the death of his daughter, Anne. He began to question the benevolence of God after observing the life cycle of the Parasitic Wasp, and seeing the poverty of the natives of Terra del Fuego.

          • you should review the second law of thermodynamics and take into account that it only occurs in a closed system, which the Earth is not

          • Good point. No one remembers their gorilla relatives? And why are monkeys still monkeys and not half people? Why is no one like.. hey.. I'm one generation away from being a monkey. My grandma is a monkey, you never hear that. Oh I suppose we all just magically evolved from apes at the exact same time and then it never happened again.

These guys will come at you with everything they have learned because they have done their research, and honestly, all creationists have to really rely on is our faith. Talking to people about God is just fine. But arguing will get you nowhere.
just for the record, not trying to insult you here. Yet again we have another deluded theist that's regurgitating any science he can find. How marvellously original.
finches can't turn into dogs, no. Such astounding powers of perception
I'm not going to pretend to know all of the physics but I'd wager heavily that there is some physicist out there that would laugh through your first 'fact'. But as far as I'm aware, the Big Bang is a theory not a fact. Religion on the other hand is just an imagined truth somehow leant credibility because enough people have accepted it. And evolution is a result of genetic variation that allows for a better adaptation to one's environment. When finches first established themselves on the island, it's more likely that they were all of one species. Genetic variation occurred within that species and allowed individuals to be better adapted at obtaining food. Therefore they were more adapted to their environment, they passed on their genes and the rest is history. You can't point at a bird and say 'oh shit that bird hasn't turned into a dog yet. Evolution is a lie'

            • Well if you're accepting of adaptation look at it this way. The difference in the finches beak is only a small change/adaptation over a small time. Now the environmental changes that forced the adaptation on the finch, will not remain the same forever. The environment will eventually change over time and force the finch to adapt in some small way once again. And if this pattern continues over a large amount of time (with each adaptation adding something new to the finch), you will begin to see a completely different animal compared to what the finch started out as. And there you have it, evolution.
