Bungie.net Vault Banished my Radiant Shards to the Abyss

Hello! Yesterday I was on Bnet transferring 21 radiant shards off my Titan onto my Warlock so I could upgrade my Deathsinger's Herald. When I clicked the "Transfer to Vault" button, the site seemed to hiccup a bit, and then the shards disappeared from my Titan, as expected. However, I looked in my Vault space and didn't see the shards there. Okay, I thought, probably just need to refresh the Vault contents. So I did. Still no shards. I checked my Titan again. No shards. Checked my other characters to make sure I wasn't insane. No shards there either (save for the ones I didn't transfer). Checked the Destiny app. No shards. Ruh-roh. I booted up the bone and logged in to Destiny on my Titan. No shards. Went to the Tower and checked the in-game vault. No shards. Yep. They're gone. So I went to your site to search for any instances of this happening, and found this page. Evidently, this is a common enough issue that it has its own entry. As was suggested on the page, I waited about 24 hours, checking my Vault periodically to see whether the shards would suddenly materialize. They haven't. It's been very close to 24 hours since the incident, give or take an hour, so here I am. My heart kinda sank reading that you all don't restore items, and since I have no way of proving that I lost the items (as the transfer was done on Bnet instead of in-game where I could have recorded a clip), I may not have a huge chance at recovering them. Nevertheless I would like to see what, if any, recourse I have in solving this matter. This could very well have been something far more valuable than shards, like a precious exotic weapon, and something like that occurring could very well have caused me to stop playing. I don't know if perhaps snapshots of the databases are taken periodically for backup purposes or if transaction logs are created and accessible, but I would love to work with whomever I need to in order to resolve this. Also, if there is a more immediate channel of communication besides the forums, that would be great. I tried looking for a more direct support route, like live chat or a phone number, but it seems like the forums may be the closest thing I'll get. Thanks a bunch!

 • It's great you found the support article. All I can recommend, is trying to apply those steps again. As the article states, however, Bungie is unable to restore any items.
