Bungie announces something "special" will be coming just a few days before Xur. Xur sells Thunderlord. Coincidence? I think not. (P.S. Congradulations to everyone who didnt already have a Thunderlord, its probably one of the best weapons, high DPS too. )
-
Not this shit again. He's in the game, he bring exotics. Who gives a -blam!- what he brings, you have everything already anyways.
-
I think Xür IS random! However, I think it's COMPLETE BS that Bungie is trying to make us think they can't Alter what Xür sells. I mean, it's not like THEY MADE THE GAME OR ANYTHING
-
There's two xur 1) to stop megaman from knowing the exotic. (Control by bungie) 2) random xur meaning it can be predicted by megaman (bungie have no control) 3) megaman can't predict because bungie is controlling the controllable xur and blocking the predictable xur. Summary There's two xur.

Icebreaker before dark bellow. Thunderlord before house of Wolves. Gally before comet.

Edited by burritosenior: 5/8/2015 5:20:20 PMYour poll options are crappy. Bungie said in the Weekly Update the 'surprise' is another video about House of Wolves. Which did in fact come out. So no, the 'special promise' does not show Xur is not random. That said, since the choices were unquestionably datamined before Bungie started hiding it, we can still say that Xur is NOT random and that Bungie lied about that directly.
-
Hey guys, what if the original rolls were random but they just set them in the game all at once. It doesn't actually randomize right as Xûr enters the tower, but the tables for every week since launch were rolled before the game's release. How is that so hard to understand.
-
Megaman predicted hardlight and thunderlord before HoW months ago. This just solidified his reputations
-
This has already been discussed. He is random. His inventory is generated several weeks in advance and is put on a queue, this allows Bungie to see what will be available and generate a new set if they feel it is needed.
-
He has had the same Titan piece two weeks in a row. -blam!- ain't random bungie wants to make people pissed off. I'm about to break my game because I cannot get exptic armor without paying more money to them -blam!- America
-
Random, but determined and known 2-3 weeks in advance.
-
The surprise is coming tomorrow. They said in the weekly update
-
Xur & random was already addressed by Bungie. Xur is random. HOWEVER, firstly Bungie removed a few things from the Xur RNG, secondly if they don't like what showed up, Bungie changes it. That was their official response.
-
Xur may have a possiblity for randomness, but Bungie can certainly take control each week. I see them putting him on "autopilot" until they want to sell something like thunderlord. Not trying to change the subject, but has there been any word of a special item for expasion pass owners? Really hope we get a ghost skin.
-
The rolls are random. The items are manipulated. End of story.
-
I am not random I show up the same time every week😅
-
I think he's random until bungie decides to change it to what they want him to sell, so it's probs random until they decide to interfere
-
I haven't though xur was random in months. At least not completely
-
The fact that people gotta go that hard to prove or disprove anything.... smdh yall got too much time on your hands.
-
For god's sake, he's rng. Always has been, always will be. If Bungie decides to throw is a bone and set one item, that's their prerogative. It's their damn game, they can do what they please.

Edited by harrymfa: 5/8/2015 4:12:04 PMWhy is this still a debate? The randomness of Xur was debunked months ago. Here are some news to you: Bungie also chooses the Nightfalls, the Iron Banner inventory, and probably even the loot drops, since I've noticed some items are more likely to drop on certain weeks than others. Bungie micro-manages this shit to a point I wouldn't be surprised if you're playing a strike and a Bungie employee's voice comes out and tells you you're doing it wrong. EDIT: By the way, the next Nightfall is Sepiks Prime, arc burn. Get your Thunderlords ready.
-
That isnt the special surprise.
-
I think xur is totally random, but Bungie obviously knows beforehand
-
Edited by Seraphim Frost: 5/8/2015 2:54:00 PMIce breaker is the Gjallahorn of snipers Thunderlord is the Ghorn of MLGs. The Fate of all Fools is the Ghorn of scouts. SUROS was the Ghorn of Autos. Red Death is the Ghorn of Pulses. Felwinter's is the Ghorn of shotguns Plan c is the Ghorn of fusions And the vestian Dynasty is the Ghorn of sidearms.
-
Before last patch it was confirmed that there were 2 xurs. One was the total random one, and the other was the bungie controlled.
-
The special thing they announced is another HoW video being uploaded today.
-
Xûr is very likely randomized. But at the same time, his wares are probably heavily weighted.
