so, you can play offline?
-
so...what are you using? Timurs lash..Gyallerhorn...all your gear is purple...I suppose it just appeared?
-
there is little to no story, PVP is well...if I have to explain how bad it is? you're a lost cause-missions in campaign amount to go here scan and beat horde. Bosses are larger versions of enemies and thr rng is a joke.
-
Drep, I don't know you. Looking at your choice of words though. You are much younger then I am. No worries at that, that's not something either of us controlled, but the only lost cause here is you and those who think like you. It wasn't original ten years ago and you certainly aren't providing a very good argument for rebuttal with, "if you can't see this then you are a lost cause." Next time, don't get your hopes up before launch.
-
was'nt that the point of the hype? duh!
-
No. The point of getting people into those things is called advertising. Hype is just a hipsters word. It doesn't mean anything besides people trying to relate to a word. So no. The point of the advertising was to show you what Destiny was looking like. You got involved with it, blew through the game, and now you want more. Again: Next time, don't get your hopes up before launch. You wouldn't be the first generation of gamers to make that mistake.
-
No. Every single point is very easily rebuked.
Oh, please do explain.
-
So you want me to explain how each point provided is incorrect? Ok.
Destiny is a previous generation first person shooter role playing game
Destiny is also available on the Xbox One and PS4. Therefore, this cannot be a previous generation FPS.
with minimal massively multiplayer online capability
Under the current MMO guidelines, 10 people being able to influence results in a game environment constitutes MMO capability due to graphical performance standards. Sorry kiddo. It has the capability.
and featuring a precedented combination of cinematic and card storytelling
Precedent is an adjective. It describes a noun in better detail. There is no noun which makes logical sense. Therefore, the sentence is incomplete and whoever wrote this merely wanted to use a big word. Silly kids, tricks are for... well... you. lol... Destiny tells the story of the Traveler, broken and unusable which fell a long time ago. For a long time, many have tried to find something to help it and yet... the enemies of the Traveler got closer and closer. You are the new hero, forged in light by Ghosts. This game and career is your story.
cooperative, competitive, and public gameplay that is all the same
Really? So crucible is the same as public events or anything else? I guess I missed the Archon Priest being released somewhere in Vault of Glass too. Cooperative elements even though 99% of the game can be done on your own. Seems fairly easy to see the answers.
and a few impersonal activities that are woven into an unexpansive, unpersistent, and completely online world.
Completely online world... you are saying you want it to be something else? Guess you are calling for Destiny to be made into a Live Action Role Play thing then. Few impersonal activities? I'm not even going to refute the rest of this. What this is is some high school freshman's manifesto at using educated and scholarly words with no meaning behind them and trying to sound educated and smart. You are a loser reject right now and that can only change when you decide to stop smoking the weed and pick up some backbone called integrity to not butcher actual intelligence. Everything said up there has one element which is all conclusive trolls of the world: You aren't satisfied with what you see in Destiny. Had you just come out and said that? "Hey Bungie. I like/dislike your game. Here's what I didn't like: I didn't like all the word choices and hype you put behind the game. I didn't like the speeches you gave because it looks misleading now. I didn't like the elements all around patrols, raids, and crucible. Just wanted to let you know." No. You had to go further then that. You had to TRY to make yourself sound like someone you aren't. News flash. No one is perfect. No one wants to listen to a liar who wants to sound intelligent. It's overrated and childish.

hmmm...pot...kettle?
-
Here you made a few mistakes:
So you want me to explain how each point provided is incorrect? Ok.
Destiny is a previous generation first person shooter role playing game
Destiny is also available on the Xbox One and PS4. Therefore, this can be a previous generation FPS as downgrading is easier then upgrading.
with minimal massively multiplayer online capability
Under the current MMO guidelines, 4 people being able to influence results in a game environment constitutes MMO capability, but due to graphical performance standards thus limiting gameplay we have less player per map count then 85% of all other MMOs. Sorry kiddo. It has the capability.
featuring a precedented combination of cinematic and card storytelling
I see you were lazy and unfancied the wording so it sounded more like the source material; "unprecedented", and only an idiot would fight on such shallow ground. Destiny tells the story of the Traveler, broken and in a coma, which fell a long time ago. For a long time, many have tried to find something to help it wake up and in all that time the enemies of the Traveler got closer and closer. You are the new hero, brought back to life by the Ghosts. All of the previous stated information is purely conjecture based on rumors overheard from NPCs until you spend countless hours off the game to read the trading cards on their website. This game's story will never explain your characters past and your career is the only story this game has, but you will only get 2 hours if it anyway; the rest of the game is either grinding for gear and resources or fantasy serial killings in crucible.
cooperative, competitive, and public gameplay that is all the same
So, basically crucible is the same as public events or anything other part of the game? I guess I missed every moment I was fighting, maybe that's why you stopped playing. The fact the game is all about killing; go here kill this, collect or guard that, kill somemore, oh no dinglebot set off an alarm, kill more guys, bad players....oh now their dead, oh, boss time....now he's dead, and it starts all over again...
and a few impersonal activities that are woven into an unexpansive, unpersistent, and completely online world.
Completely online world... you are saying you want it to be something more? Guess you are calling for Destiny to be made into a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Play Game with First Person Shooter elements then? No...sorry, you will have to content with "Space CoD", the off brand CoD that whiny tears defend because they don't have money to buy another game or self respect to want more. Few impersonal activities, like all the times your thrust into action for no reason outside of just doing it? Well g mister you must not be used to grinding, its what all the tools are doing. I'm not even going to refute the rest of this cause I can't and don't have enough intelligence to know the post was satire. What this retort is is some high school freshman's manifesto at using educated and scholarly words with no meaning behind them and trying to sound educated and smart. I am a loser, a reject right now and that can only change when I decide to stop smoking the weed, pick up some backbone or integrity to not butcher actual intelligence like the original poster. Everything said up there has one element; Satire, which is as all trollings of the world: You aren't satisfied with what you see in Destiny and are now making sport of it. Just wanted to let you know." I might have not even read this post, but I'm just too stupid to read satire, maybe next time you can get me some pop up pictures and read it to me. You had to go further then that, You had to TRY to make yourself sound like someone you aren't so the post looked and sounded identical to the market place description. News flash: No one is perfect; No one wants to listen to a liar who wants to sound intelligent, It's overrated and childish and I apologise.
Hmmm....needs some baby pouder for all that burn? Maybe next time you start acting up you should put better context into your words kid. I posted this, and I based it off the majority consensus, and majority rules. You can fight it all you want, but at the end of the day, your still a tool who is not only full of himself but defending his purchase. This game has a lot of potential, and many want to see it grow, but little shots like yourself get in the way. Now you can tip your hat and walk away or keep on trolling, either way, nothing you say or do will change the fact that people agree with me.
-
Hmmm....needs some baby pouder for all that burn?
Firstly, it's baby powder. Secondly, Burn? Those are pretty easy going statements for me kiddo. Intelligence, once you get out of the mid 20's thought process you are currently showing, doesn't really need to belittle other forms of intelligence when we talk about it. You asked for a response, I gave one, you clearly don't agree with it and that highlights the end of the conversation.
Maybe next time you start acting up you should put better context into your words kid.
Kiddo. I'm way older then you. Married and have two kids of my own. The only thing you seem to be is a stuck up college student right now. Stick to the books and get good grades. It'll land you a good job and more disrespect from your coworkers when you make the mistake of picking a fight with them too.
I posted this, and I based it off the majority consensus, and majority rules.
Majority? Lol. Kiddo. 9.4 million people bought Destiny and day 1 buyers have just as much right to come on these forums and voice any concerns they have over you and any small collection of people you think agree with you. You can take whatever I say with a grain of salt, but you clearly need to get into the anger management counseling if you think that above shows anything to me besides raised eyebrows and questioning whether you are one of the crazies in the world who should be locked up.
You can fight it all you want, but at the end of the day, your still a tool who is not only full of himself but defending his purchase.
English kiddo. Here:
You can fight it all you want, but at the end of the day you're still a tool who is not only full of himself but is defending his purchase.
you're. Simply means "You are". Very easy to memorize that way. And you can think whatever you want about me. Maturity requires one to be able to look at someone you respect and fully acknowledge them for strengths and weaknesses. To put it more bluntly? You simply respect them. Entirely and completely. Even when they say something you don't agree with. I don't need to belittle you. I'm seeing someone walking back and forth throwing a temper tantrum right now and I'm just trying to figure out just what you are getting so upset about. You aren't being cool by telling anyone how their opinion is crap. You aren't gaining anything besides disrespect for being like that. When you learn to care about things more then that? You won't even remember situations like this. Take it easy kiddo. Muted.
-
lol, not gonna matter but if you call someone stupid they tend to get a little defensive. Especially when you degrade them, act superior, and try to wash your hands of them. You ever check back to read this, I hope you have a nice day and try to make more friends in future. Otherwise, it just makes you look like a troll, and boucing like you did makes you look like you excepted defeat. Thanks for playing and I hope you enjoy Destiny.
-
I would, but I'm actually working right now.
-
yeah...for bungie by the sound of it...jeez
-
Sorry kiddo. Video games are fun, but I don't do that for a living. I have much more fun working with my peers and afterwards figuring out what the NFL is going to do with now infamous Tom Brady...
-
hmmm fan boy... that poll appears to be in his favor. But keep sucking that big old bungie Deeiiiiackkk
-
This post is coming from my cell since this topic is muted and the authors posts removed permanently from my feed. The poll above is not conclusive in any respectable elements to the population which bought the game. That, btw, was 9.4 million and is better represented by the population which is signed in playing destiny. Sorry kiddo, but for that last comment? I'm muting you too. Ciao.
-
Did you get a different copy of Destiny than I did?
-
Easy enough answer: No. I got the same as you.
-
Are we playing the same game?
-
I love Destiny. It's a new franchise, it'll expand over time.
-
for MONEY. I paid for a full game not a demo
-
And you got that. It's pretty straightforward. If you aren't satisfied with something you should have returned it.
-
Exactly. We speak sense.
-
bzzzt wrong. You try advertising something the way Bungie etc did Destiny-WITHOUT their lawyers etc.Oh yeah...you'd be arrested. The idea is to advertise, we like-we buy. NOT lie through our teeth and claim ' we'll fix it' kid. What are you ...12? Ever read 'The boy who cried Wolf7' Bungie are capable of good games-One of the earliest I ever played was Oni. But this? It is a joke-500 million dollars aimed at what? It clearly was'nt the story. PVP...well I might be ' young' but a lot of these threads seem familiar... I could go on Destiny HAS the potential to be great, but if the best idea Bungie has is to shred it into dlc? Better to kill it now-and bub? get your head out of their ass.. it's pathetic
