Your theory is flawed for the fact that you think bungie actually does anything based on our input verbally. All they do is see the data. If your an engineer and you see 90% of people are using auto rifles then most likely there is an advantage for using them. Same with shotguns. Its all about the numbers

Actually I'm an analyst and I'd say this is a classic case of sampling bias. Usage is an okay start for identifying the problems but tweaks should be made based strictly on the stats of individual weapons. Bungie's approach was just lazy and arbitrary. I think what they did with auto rifles is evidence of that.

I agree I was just making the point that they didn't nerf things based on a community outcry like people like to think. They have their reason, whether good or bad it wasn't because of a single person or groups opinion, its because they thought what they were doing was right.

Hey anything is possible. Its a double edge sword. Happy they listen, but angry because they listen to the wrong people. Either way it sucks.
