Yes.
Science is the attempt to find out "how". Religion is the attempt to find out "why".
Seeking knowledge in any form is an Important part of what makes humanity special. We are inquisitive. And we can't help but try to define our existence by any means possible. And quite frankly.. trivializing either until there's solid evidence for or against is a blatant misuse of the scientific method that people seem to put so much faith in.

Religion is the attempt to find out "why".[/quote]i disagree, because there is no "why" in science, only "how". we know D happens, which is the result of A, B, and C events/actions. there is no "why" because there really is no purpose to the whole thing. "why" implies purpose or motivation. though you could make a case for "why" and "how" being the same question in science.

Correct, except religion is a flat-out, extremely vague answer for everything that has and will happen in the universe. Religion does not attempt to find anything out.
