The reason why it's like COD is because of Activision firing most of Bungies story writers..so they had to take what was left, and Activision being the greedy people they are, they chop up the story into DLC so they can sell it to you, thus getting more money.

Edited by w3rdblader: 4/28/2015 9:34:04 AMStupid. Activision doesn't have firing power over bungie employees. They were VC for the game, they didn't absorb bungie. Please learn before spouting nonsense.

Well, okay. My mistake, my point was that you can't blame Bungie for this.
-
It's their company. You should only blame bungie for this.
-
It's the video game blaming system. If something's wrong, blame Activision or EA, even if they weren't the ones behind the problems at all.
-
Exactly, it's like it's their fault that bungie made the TIGER engine poorly. It's activisions fault that bungie put man hours into art design over programming.
-
Tell me why? Tell me why you should ONLY blame Bungie? This is Activision we're talking about here! The same company that does the SAME THING with Call of Duty. DLC upon DLC. So who's to say it's not Activision's fault in this matter?

Edited by LukeWarmGamer: 4/28/2015 9:36:54 AMAgreed. I will continue to support Destiny though, but ONLY if HoW brings back more story driven content. Seeing as how I had already bought the 1st two "expansions" at release, I figured I would come back and play what was purchased. I was on a 3 month hiatus. Hopefully Bungie can bring a masterpiece back to the gaming world and fix their mistake.

Did we ever get to the bottom of what happened re the story? Even for Bungie the narrative was pretty ambiguous.
-
I forgot to add that considering how poor the crucible still is, it seems they managed to miss all of their... "marks".
-
From my understanding there was disagreements about which direction the game should go (even 7 months from release). Story and cinamatics, or, acessiblity and quick entertainment.
-
Yeah I just did a forum search, something about the story being too confusing so they chopped it or something. Well they have no excuse for Destiny 2. Unless they buried their head in sand all year they must know we want a decent story now.
-
Yes. A second Destiny with a complete game and fully fleshed out story would definantly be grounds for game of the year and a purchase from myself. Although, I am only going to buy the inevitable 2nd Destiny after the reviews drop.
