People who don't have gjallarhorn
Are they just peasants that waste a raid spot?
No other launcher offers such offensive firepower, to bring anything else vs the mighty Crota is just an insult.
EDIT: No one said anything about NEEDING a gjallarhorn for ANY ENCOUNTER.
Only that it's offensive prowess is second to none, and to use anything else means you are most probably a g-hornless peasant.

I only just got my 1st g-horn a couple of days ago and I have never had trouble taking down Crota. We even tried it without ANY g-horns and we did just fine. Yes, it was a GTEAT feeling to finally get one. Yes, it destroys all other launchers. But there is nothing in this game that can not be done without it. I don't understand all the elitist talk about "If you don't have one, get out!" If you NEED one to do the raid, you need to practice more. I don't mean you, OP, I meant the other guys not letting you into raids because of it

I'll take a good player with hunger over a scrub with gally. Full team 32 with gally couldn't beat crota hard But 2 31, 4 32's and i was the only one with gally and we beat him 3rd try

I dont have the gally and i get annoyed when i cant do raids because i dont have the gally. I understand that its nice to have but everyone doesnt need it

Having one or 2 gjallarhorns is nice on a crota hard fireteam but not necessary. It just insures that he will be dropped. I always assemble a mix between gjallarhorns and hunger. If someone has hunger I won't turn them away but always look to have a couple ghorns. I tried to 3 man crota on normal with a 32 that had truth and a 31 that had hunger and if they both didn't fire 2 shots crota didn't drop so I ended up pulling out my gjally on the rock after dropping the sword to make up for the lack of firepower. It's a good reassurance.

It would be my opinion that the real scrubs and peasants are the ones who can only beat Crota with a full team of Gallys.

If you need 4-5 ghorns to take down crota your fire team sucks. And tbh I'd rather have a HoC over a ghorner that needs 4 to take down crota #YoureTrash

I have a Gjallarhorn, but I personally think that it is really overrated. People constantly praise it and say that it's the best gun ever, but I find it to be very situational.

I used my HoC and we got by just fine. Even after getting Gally I still run sword. We get the job done regardless.
