Commendations Acquired Before HoW
Will a crucible or faction package that was acquired before the House of Wolves expansion and redeemed from the Postmaster after the expansion still award a crucible commendation?
Or should they be collected now, in case they are lost forever?

2 RepliesWhy would you keep them until house of wolves ? That makes no sense... All engrams and packages contain TDB content they won't nor should they contain new HOW content.

My guess would be yes, because the commendation is already "coded" into the package. I would agree with the advise to just open the package now (or whenever you get it). Just like the commendation is likely already coded, any legendary drop is as well, so you would be getting pre-HoW gear regardless when you open it.

Not sure, but there is no point in saving packages. They won't give new gear if you wait until after HoW to open them. You're better off getting really close to the next rank level right before HoW is released.
