People are always arguing that only science or a God can be true. Not both, but why not both? I mean how could all that we know as our universe just "BE" without atleast a small nudge from a God? Perhaps he set things in motion and then took a step back to let things naturally run their course?
I'm not very religious and i don't know the bible inside and out, but wasn't the sun created on like the 3rd day or something to that effect?
And if we use the sun to tell what is 1 day, then couldn't the first days have been thousands or millions of years?
Just a thought...
Like i said i'm not that religious so i'm sure i'm missing things, but maybe some of you guys can offer some more knowledgable opinions?

Perhaps God of the gaps does but any of the organized religions go directly against what science says.

Only if science proves that God exists :P

God made science.

8 RepliesThe better question is, can theists and atheists coexist?

The sun exists and science has proven its greatness

2 RepliesYes Religion and science can co-exist however stuck-up white middle-class american christians and fat autistic neckbeard slob atheists can't co-exist

They absolutely can. Whether or not someone wants them to is up to them.

1 ReplyNo but co and exist can god and science

Edited by Zoomzoom97: 5/4/2015 1:30:38 AMEasily. They do now. The only times they don't is when people twist one or the other to battle each other for basically no reason. You could also just see science as what explains the things our in our world, and religion or God explains the things beyond our world.

5 RepliesWhat if God created science

2 RepliesEdited by IamPluto: 5/26/2015 11:34:33 PMSomeone claims god caused a global flood. There was never a global flood. How can those two ideas coexist? Only thing I can see happening, is that you ignore all supernatural claims and say god caused everything.

I think science can be right and God just made it all happen, or rather set the wheels in motion and watched it all start rolling. Who's to say both sides can't be right? (Obviously some details may have been fudged a little through the years but ultimately why not?)
-
God and science aren't the problem, it's dilholes that think they have everything figured out.
-
What if God made us incapable of comprehending existence? So, no matter how hard we tried, it wouldn't make sense until we die.
-
1 ReplyI'd like to think God is the universe's greatest scientist
-
If God has the power to create what he wants, he could create the intricacies of the universe.
-
13 RepliesNope. Believing in a God is illogical, and unscientific. Science works with facts and evidence, and the only reason people are religious is because they have "faith", which is a totally illogical concept.

Allahu Akbar.

Just FYI, there is a better alternative to mere agnosticism It's called deism

The concept that science OR God exist is fallacious: either science exists or science AND God exist. 1) science is a method of observation, so it definitely exists and 2) it's hard to disprove a method that is by definition always changing
-
Do they not already?
-
They could, I think. At least now, science can not prove intelligent life forms, so if something communicates without "talking" we seem them as beings without intellectual power. It goes the same way with gods. Gods most likely wouldn't be solid things, more as they are the heat, and the waves, which science deems "inanimate"
