Idea: Do you think RNGesus might be weighted at all?

Sometimes the more interesting random drops I have received in Destiny have happened very soon after I have done or changed something interesting or different. For instance not long after doing something quite daft (dismantled a really nice weapon, upgraded already maxed exotic armour with xur, spunked useful glimmer on crappy cryptarch engrams then dismantled everything just to upgrade to next level, wasted ages idling in a raid waiting for nobody to join, bought and wore useless character emblems/shaders from the speaker, ships, etc.) This is likely just my experience but does anyone else think that RNGesus might have more 'sympathy' for less skillful, casual and often just plain stupid players like me just to peak our interest? Or perhaps there are some clever, subtle 'triggers' which kick in when certain game stats suggest boredom is looming? Remember this is an online game where Bungie have access to a mountain of stats on player behaviour and can adjust the reward system to tweak the game to appeal to a very wide range of play styles. Might those who are more prepared to grind actually be less rewarded which in turn just fuels the addictive quality of the game? Just an idea but is it worth testing something different in the game just to see if your luck changes? TL/DR - Did wearing a 'Mark of the Blessed/Gifted' emblem from the Speaker increase chance of my Gjallarhorn drop or was it just pure coincidence...?
