It would break the game and you know it.
Agree or Disagree??
I mean come on a person with ten gjallahorns would trade it for anything and than the game wouldnt be fun because it would take the fun out of grinding and alot of other stuff.
Comment what you think and keep the thread high
EDIT: WoW 250+ replies. Keep it going guys

4 RepliesIt would absolutely ruin the endgame. Weapons no longer have meaning. People with the best guns start selling them on eBay and Craigslist. People get scammed. Some kid will figure out a way to duplicate items. Now everyone has everything ever and then what's the point? Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls has been totally destroyed by trading and duplicating. Borderless 2 was decimated by trading and duplicating. Please dear god no trading.

Why did you put most of the question below the poll? Anyway you should figure out how to form a question before you're allowed to pose one.
-
I'd put my stuff on eBay with a quickness
-
With those ideas, people will friend and join others, join clans, just to trade.9

I'm against a trade system. I think that if they did you don't get that satisfaction of actually grinding to finally get the weapon you wanted. Plus what if Bungie then implemented a pay service to actually buy exotics since then players would simply farm to get ones worth trading? It's a bad idea.

Edited by JHarv: 4/24/2015 5:31:52 AMHaving trading would be like having Xur. Everyone would get everything they want for nothing and there's no story to it. But you all like having Xur and would hate trading. Makes sense........
-
4 RepliesIt'd only work if you could only trade stuff that is the same tier.
-
Dear Bungie: I feel that your recent game, Destiny, would be more successful if you were to add a trading feature. Many players may not be able to find or upgrade everything in the game, while others may. Limitations can and should be made on this feature such as not allowing the trade of legendary, exotic, and crucible armor and weapons. This will not only make your product better, but many more will buy it, thus producing more income.
-
It would break the game with the way it is now. Destiny just doesn't have the economy for it.

1 Reply"it would take the fun out of grinding" Please think about this quote
-
You wouldn't be forced to trade. You could still grind all day. You're only concerned with how others would play the game.
-
There is no fun in grinding.

1 ReplyHow about limits to trading? Like, you get a set amount of trades. 1 from a stranger and 2 from friends. Here's how it would work: Stranger trade: • Can only trade once with a stranger • Once you use that trade, you can't trade with any other randy you meet • You'll have to wait a month until you can trade with another randy Friend trade: • Can trade twice with friends • When you trade once with a friend, you can only trade one more time with that friend or any other friend in your friends list • You'll have to wait a month until you can trade with your friends Other rules: • In order for the Friend trade to work, you have to be friends with someone for at least 2 months • You can't bank your trades (trades can't rollover to the next month) • Trades have to be of equal rarity and type (ex. Shards for Energies, Legendary heavies for Legendary heavies, etc.) Tell me if you like this system or not.

1 ReplyEdited by shaZAY: 4/23/2015 9:35:59 PMIm not gonna lie, I will put gjallarhorn on Ebay. Highest bid wins it. I have 6 by the way.
-
2 RepliesIt would make the pain easier if you didn't receive items from engrams that aren't from your class
-
About 5 months ago I thought trading was a good idea but the pat few months my mind has changed and I don't think it's a good idea at all.
-
No trading please. C'mon Bungie, grow a pair and stick to your guns. Trading would cheapen the experience. Just played a NIGHTFALL and a friend got their first Gjallarhorn. SO STOKED! Why take that feeling away. Not just Gjallarhorn either, I get seriously stoked on a Faction weapon drop with exceptional rolls. With trading, it takes so much of this away.
-
1 ReplyYou are exactly right. I have talked to my friends about this numerous time and I completely agree it would break the game
-
Which is why trading needs to have a straight 1 for 1, exotic for exotic, legendary for legendary, and so one. You could put in there too raid weapons for raid weapons.
-
3 RepliesI stopped reading after "brake"
-
2 RepliesStop trying to make Trading happen...it's not going to happen!
-
It would break the game. There wouldn't be a carrot on a stick for us to chase after anymore. Plus, it is not like there is a lot of exotics out there. And only a handful of real good ones. So you get the few items you want and trade the rest for shards, coins, motes, glimmer, ir whatever else you need. Then there wouldn't be a need to grind anymore. I don't see it working.
-
4 RepliesI think Xûr is enough. He sells all exotics. You just need patience.....
-
If half the community already cried about "xurning", I wouldn't want to see the communities opinion on trading.
-
9 Replieswith trading, people would have stopped playing this game months ago. it's a fact. Most players are doign VOG and Crota runs, NFs, weeklies, etc to grind and hope for "that" drop (G-horn for example). If that guy who has 10 G-horns just traded with one of those people, they wouldn't need to do the NFs, etc to try for that drop. Yeah it's frustrating when you don't get it and "everybody else" does, but it's waht makes the game fun and re-playable!
-
So when you actually can have EVERY exotic in nearly 2-3 months, you would stop playing. I also keep playing, because I want to have the gally (only 1 reason).
