It would break the game and you know it.
Agree or Disagree??
I mean come on a person with ten gjallahorns would trade it for anything and than the game wouldnt be fun because it would take the fun out of grinding and alot of other stuff.
Comment what you think and keep the thread high
EDIT: WoW 250+ replies. Keep it going guys

It could work, but only if there are WAY more legendarily and exotics, and it should be like an auction house like how it works in madden, something like: Thunderlord, starting bid at 15,000 glimmer and 40 motes of light, and the bid keeps going up. And also make an unlimited glimmer cap.

I have an idea that MIGHTMAYBEPROBABLYNOTMAYBE would work. Alright, so you would be given a trading system when you reach Rank 10 with ANY of the Factions, or the Vanguard and Crucible. But you only have one trade per day. Every 10 ranks(or 7), you would be given an extra trade. Both players must have atleast one trade. It costs 7500 Glimmer, and 5 motes of light to trade, again, for both players. You cannot trade emblems, ships, sparrows, ghost shells, shaders, event items, consumables or materials. You can only trade legendary, and exotic gear. There is only 3 slots availeable, so yu could only trade 3 per once. The rules may seem strict, but its the way I would do it to balance the gameplay, and not give the completely new players top-tier gear.
-
Okay let's get this straight lol. It wouldn't break anything, it would just change how things worked.
-
I just want plasteel plating for my new titan....1000s of hadronic essence from my main warlock and quite a few sapphire wire for my hunter. Id give one etheric light for a pile of plating.

There's just not enough variety in weapons and armor for a trade system. There would need to be a BoP and BoE system, tons and tons more loot, an actual economy, there's just not enough content to constitute a trading system. And even if there was a trading system literally all it would be would be forums flooded with "ISO gally will trade X"
-
3 RepliesBefore house of wolfs it would have been cool but the game right now it's way to easy to get stuff to even need a trading system Now be 100 percent honest everyone we all know 95% of all trades will be revolved around Gjallarhorn ...
-
1 ReplyAsians in a room working in 16 hour shifts farming fake shit and selling it for real money that's all that would happen
-
2 RepliesI don't think grinding is fun, but trading would be awful in an rng loot game.
-
I think it would sort of make sense if you could trade raid weapons for other weapons from that specific raid, exotics within the same tier as other exotics, and legendary weapons for other legendary weapons within the same tier. These tiers would be part of a classification system for trading. That way you would technically still have to earn a raid weapon because you would have actually have a raid weapon drop for you first, etc.
-
2 RepliesTake the fun out of grinding? By it's nature it isn't fun. I've played since the start and still no gally. I'd welcome a trade. Or at least shared loot from nightfall etc where you can cast lots on items. So if a gally drops and one person doesn't have it they can bid whilst others pass.
-
7 RepliesEwww 68% said yes? You know how hard it would be to police a trading system. All those ppl who cheat it would be nothing but duplicates. Also why play the vault of glass if I could just trade for the fate bringer
-
3 RepliesI'd be going around yelling"Husk of the Pit for a Gally!"
-
5 RepliesI see ppl pay sizeable sum for blacksmith shader on ebay. Just nuts. No trading for fking sure
-
I don't know what you're smoking, but there's nothing "fun" about grinding.
-
Grinding and fun in the same sentence. Ok so maybe so grinding is fun but ffs not for several years.
-
People would quit in massive numbers after a short period of time because there would be no point in grinding anymore.
-
To limit that, they should rank exotics, and legendary, and anything you could trade, they should have a rank. And say for instance, G-Horn was rank 20, and Monte Carlo was rank 10, they should have to trade something else with the Monte Carlo that is rank 10 or higher to even the fields.
-
I have a total of 24 gallies...id start selling on eBay
-
I'm not giving a solid answer. Because RNJesus is ridiculously stupid. Either you have 10 Gjallarhorns, or 0. Either you get TONS of exotic bounties, or you get 0. I'm on the bad side of both of those.

Edited by Jin: 7/5/2015 3:24:01 AMI have 5 dead orbit ships 2 revenant 3 bittesteel 1 hanged man 1 nowhere 2 almethea 1 nefertiti 1 thimesto Missing 5 shaders 2 ships. Wish I could trade my extras for shaders and other 2 ships.
-
I have two gjallahorns, i bet ill be able to trade one for max armour when light cap increases, be too easy again
-
2 RepliesGjallerhorn for reveant Any takers?
-
7 RepliesTrading would ruin destiny just really think about it there would be websites with people selling exotics for real money so the people who are really desperate will want them and WILL buy them I totally disagree I mean yess I want a GHORN and I would trade anything for it but it would get very expensive very quickly
-
Why would they break this game even more? They would somehow implement a fair trading system that'd work for everyone. I have an idea how but I really don't want to type some more right now so bye.
-
I would finally be able to trade one of extra Gjallarhorns for a No Land Beyond.
-
If they do it, it should be a 1 for 1 swap. 1 exotic for another exotic, or 1 legendary for another legendary. I've gotten 3 Queen ARs, and my friend has gotten 3 Queen HCs. I'd love to be able to trade for one. I've gotten 2 Hawkmoons, he's got multiple Gjallarhorns. Would gladly trade him for one of those too.
