iPhone App beta: Loadouts for Destiny. Need testers and feedback!

The app is out on the App Store! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/loadouts-for-destiny/id980586442?ls=1&mt=8 I am proud to show the world a project I have been working on since the beginning of March, when Bungie introduced the way to transfer items from within the Web site and companion app. Since then, a bunch of excellent projects has appeared, both on Web and mobile platforms (such as DIM, and others), yet all of them on the iPhone (including an official companion app) miss something I really want as an avid Destiny player: an ability to just batch move a set of items across to one of my characters without having to worry where the items are and whatnot. So since I am a professional programmer, I took the opportunity and built an app from the ground up. It loads most actual Destiny database manifest, so it always stays current on items (and when that patch 1.1.2 hits the streets, it should automagically know of the expanded Vault space). It also features some quite complicated transfer logic (and soon to get some complicated equip logic as well :). How it works Once you log in (through PlayStation Network or XBox Live), you see a screen listing all of your items, stored on all of your characters and the Vault: Main screen It deliberately shows no distinction where the item currently is: you shouldn't worry about it, you just want an item on your character, right? You can also save and restore so-called loadouts to quickly move sets of items across characters. You can make loadouts for weapons featuring different burns, for example. Using the app is easy: just tap the items you want to be transferred to your character, pick a character you want to move to on the bottom, and tap the green Transfer button. The app will do its magic and move the items you have selected for you: Transferring progress Once the move is completed, it will tell you whatever you need to know about the items that used special treatment: Results The app will take care of situations when the target character has not enough item slots to accommodate the move or when the vault is busy (in both cases it will try to offload some most useless items to other characters first). Video Review ZacheyB made a short video review for the app, check it out! While it doesn't shows the loadouts functionality, overall it's short and to the point of what the app is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lukp-eFnYTQ What's New in v1.0 (46) - Added the tutorial on first launch - This is actually a version that went to Apple for review, so we're waiting for their approval - Added a way to donate if you'd like via In-App Purchases (but this will work only on the App Store version) - Fixed an issue with Xbox Live login after Bungie has changed the method this Monday. You can also equip items by long-tapping on their icons (the border will turn purple). If that item is not on character, it will be transferred there first. I'd like to also mention, that this is a hobby project, so it will remain free and will never have ad banners and whatnot. How you can help I would love some help from the community I have been always an active reader of. If you have an iPhone carrying iOS 8.0 or newer, and would like to test the app, please join in! The app is on the App Store, grab it: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/loadouts-for-destiny/id980586442?ls=1&mt=8 How to sign up Fill out this form to get invited (I only have 1,000 slots available, so first come, first serve basis) Got the beta, now what? Well, launch it. If there's any problems, please use the feedback feature of the TestFlight or email me directly at slavikus@gmail.com (or post here in the forum). How secure is it? The app uses a built-in Web View to authorize you with PSN or XBox Live. It never transmits any of received data anywhere but onto Bungie.net. There's nothing stopping me from crafting in some smart code to capture your logins and passwords, of course (and I am being honest with you: any app can access data you're entering into it, obviously), but I am making commercial apps for Mac (and now iOS) since 1995, and this goes against all of my professional ethics. So yes, all I could offer here is my word, but you're welcome to do any kind of security audit you'd like. :) Thanks and Acknowledgements The app uses this awesome artwork by Frank Hong. Thanks to ZacheyB for a video review! And thanks to you for reading! If you want to suggest something, drop a line here in the comments. Cheers!
