I guess the big question would be, if you could add a fourth to patrol and strikes, would you? I like that it's three. But it always just feels...I don't know, wrong.

I like 3 better personally. 4 people would just break into 2 groups of 2. 3 seems like the perfect balance of independence and support.

If you think about it though, when there's 3 there's usually one who plays lone wolf. You know the type, doesn't revive, goes to the cheese spots and finishes bosses with or without teammates. If you're talking about matchmaking then yeah it might end up being two groups of two. That would be strange. Looking at the game as it currently stands, any strike would be too easy with 4. Patrol would also be easier. You can spread out and finish bounties almost instantly. But if the new content were built for 4, or grew exponentially in difficulty as the fireteam size grew then there shouldn't be any issue.

There should be the option... The more people = more difficult
