Is there anything wrong with this game? I'm seeing too much praise and not enough critique.
Edit 1: so I beat the game and I feel like a big problem is how much steam and direction this game loses after the Grand Cathedral boss. I also thought it was easier than DSII beyond the starting area. The starting area and first couple bosses were perfect but I'm sad that the game loses it's luster somewhere down the line from there on.

7 RepliesLackluster story, riding entirely on the coat tails of the decades long pop culture obsession with Cthulhu. I half jest... I was completely lost until a friend of mine said to go read all the item descriptions. I pretty much have every item in the game now and I've beaten it twice (and gotten all the endings), yet a lot of things aren't covered at all. I love the game and the plot, even if it leaves room for a lot of speculation. Had the game been made in a world where Lovecraft's work hadn't existed, it would be wonderfully original and a something that belonged in the annals of WTF Japan.
