Is there a way to get to 32 without the dlc? Also, if a friend has gotten the DLC, can they download it onto your console so you can get it?

Edited by TheNeedlessMage: 4/5/2015 11:28:11 PMYou can reach 32 without DLC if you've been playing Iron Banner and bought the armour each time. So far the arms, legs and chest have all been sold at 36 light - with and exotic helm that would make you 32. That said, if you don't have the DLC there's really no benefit to being a 32, so don't worry about it. The only place in the game it makes any real difference is the Crota's End raid. All other in-game content is capped at lv30 anyway. Edit: After reading some of the posts below it appears there is a lot of confusion and misinformation about what is available to those who have not purchased the DLC. These are the facts: Even without DLC you can still participate in the IB and get the rewards. The little "I" DOES NOT mean that something is exclusive DLC - it means it was introduced in the first expansion. Every weapon and piece of gear currently available from the vendors, not to mention a myriad of random drops, we're all introduced in the first expansion, yet are available to all players. The same goes for the Iron Banner. The only items that are "exclusive" to those who have bought the DLC are Murmur, Eris' gauntlets, and the raid loot.

it says that the dlc is what raises the light level cap to 32.

You can reach level 31 buy purchasing vanguard, crucible, Dead Orbit etc. gear. Also, you can not get the DLC off your friend unless you have the Xbox 360 and do a lisence transfer. Hope this helped.
