Solo can only get you so far
So I prefer to solo destiny as I don't like depending on others so I don't do raids or the weekly nightfall and I've managed to get to level 31 on two of my characters but I doubt that I'll be able to get to 32 unless the new expansion raises the light level. Does anyone else prefer to solo?
Edit: wow this got a load of replies. Yes I do iron banner but they only give you 2 armour pieces at a time and that only gets you so far , so looks like I'll be waiting for the next one.

Crota is fun to solo but I understand the want to completely solo everything. But unfortunately can't get too far with that

1 ReplyI was the same, plus reading about raids on forums made me not want to level up to 32.(500 roc strikes later lol) I decided to try about a month ago, mostly to be ready for the higher level in the HoW DLC. The raids can be fun or than can be a shite show depending on the team, Crota normal is so easy now the team doesn't really matter anymore but hard the team does matter, VOG I am still not sure as I have only been on crappy teams to try it.

I'm a solo player myself but that doesn't stop everyone from hounding me to play with them. It's like I have some kind of magic gaming skill im not aware of.

I mostly solo because none of my friends seem to be on when I am. That said.. I wouldn't mind if someone came along and helped me murder Xyor, the Unwed. I'm on Xbox 360.

I'm mostly a solo player. U can easily solo both the first 2 parts of crota on any class. This gives u the chance of raid boots, gloves and chest. With exotic helm u will b 32.

I'm totally with you .... Got a full set of Iron Banner gear to prove it .... Hopefully they let the helm fly next time ... so I can rock some other gear and still be a 32

I'm a beater. I solo as much as possible, the rest is exploited from a team.

I'm pretty much a solo player. I have done a few nightfalls, but not regularly. I've done crota once and vog zero times. I was very excited that matchmaking started in the weekly heroic. Would love for them to try it for nightfalls, but they should make it optional. Hopefully when the next iron banner comes around, my Warlock will get to 32.

I didn't really see complaining but I hope you realize that due to the mmo like nature of many of the features of destiny that you will not, repeat will not, be able to enjoy all aspects of destiny's pve experience unless you stop going solo right? Just saying. Other than that I mainly play solo as well.

I solo, got my warlock to 32 by soloing up to crota every week. I was doing the same with my titan but I can't be arsed logging in anymore.

I solo mostly myself. The only reason I got to 32 is because of iron banner gear. Well, that and I think the raid gear is fugly as hell. Just my opinion, mind you. If you like it, more power to you. I'm just not a fan.

I solo. I like the team play on strikes. My time in game is hit and miss so I like to get in, knock out a few missions, and get out. I just don't have the time to commit to becoming "experienced" in a raid or trying to find a no-drama group. That said, I'm also glad IB let me grind out to 32.

You can solo nightfall.

Keep practicing and you can easily solo Crota. VoG is the only activity that I need to find a group for. Even then I only do it for a shot at Gjallarhorn as the armor is capped at light level 30.

You can solo Crota raid normal easily I do it all the time when I'm bored. Yes you can get to 32 with normal I did that on 3 characters before hard mode even came out.... You can solo atheon too if your a sunsinger
